Interview Details – I went to the store to ask whether they were offering summer jobs. Fortunately, the manager I spoke with was friendly, so he immediately gave me an interview date right after I gave him my resume. The interview was easy, casual and pretty fun. Just be friendly and super outgoing! Smile a lot and make friends with the other interviewees since you might become coworkers anyway.

Interview Details – The interview consisted of general basic questions. I felt as though they did not consider candidates who didn't fit the stereotype the store markets to. I felt they were very biased in their hiring process. Of course they said, we'll call you to let you know if you have the job but, I never received a phone call. I didn't even receive one saying, you aren't hired. The store manager was very young and unprofessional, around 20.

Interview Details – On a one to one interview, I thought it was really easy. When I came in to get an interview, I befriended a sales associate and he told the mangers that he really likes me then I was interviewed by a assistant store manager and the questions were really easy. Such as, "who influences your fashion?" It was way casual. She talked to me like I was a friend. After the interview, I had to take a personality test. After a week, I thought I didn't get the job. So I had no hope. The another week came by, I got another call for my second interview! My second interview, I was interviewed by the store manager. It was almost the same as the first interview but it was more like questions as if you were an employee. I was hired on the spot! I she offered me more than minimum wage and its like my first job. I didn't even have to negotiate. I'm excited to work here! I already love the employees. The interviews are based on your personality. Just be fun and not awkward!

Interview Details – I turned in my application to this snobbish girl behind the counter. She gave me a date to arrive for the group interview. WELL apparently, she set me up with a wrong date! When I arrived to the store the people behind the counter didn't know what to do said the hiring manager was out to lunch. They had me wait in their little lounge area as I sat and felt very embarrassed. Finally when the hiring manager was back, he took me to the corner of the store with a sheet of questions. He didn't even bother to write anything. After I answered to two or three questions, he said that most of the staff have been hired already, but I will be considered for backup if anyone decides against the position. They basically just wanted to recover from their "mistake" and pretend to give me a chance. It was the biggest waste of time!
Interview Question – Why do you want to work for American Eagle? Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in New York, NY Oct 2011 – Reviewed Jan 17, 2012
Interview Details – I went to the register to ask for an application then i was pulled to the side by a manager who asked me about my fashion inspirations and what magazines i read. she then asked about my availability and took my resume. I knew i wasn't going to get the job because as i was answering her questions she just nodded her head and didn't really give me any feedback. the store was a mess though, clothes everywhere and there weren't that many employees, and the few that were there were crazy busy to answer any questions. before applying to ae i would suggest brushing up on current fashion trends , and designers. Also dress like the models for ae dress in the ads. I think that they really appreciate originality so just be yourself

Interview Details – So Sunday I applied online for the seasonal sales associate position. Monday night I received a call from the manager asking me a couple of questions. Basically why do I want to work for AE? What influences my style and my availability. Then he asked me to come in on Wednesday for a group interview. I got to the group interview and it was me and about 5 others waiting to be interviewed. A lady manager interviewd us and started promptly at 11am. She was very nice and told us upfront that she was looking for personality. The interview was very laid back and consisted only of three question. Not including the introduce yourself to us question. I was very talkative and smiling ALOT!!! After the interview was done she gave us all a packet to fill out, gave the instructions on how to fill it out. She informed us that if she wanted to hire us she will contact our references and based on how fast she gets to speak to the references is how long it will take to call us back. She called me back the next day which is today! She called in the afternoon and offered me the position. After that she asks questions to verify your availability and asks about holidays and weekends to see if you can work on certain days. And tomorrow is my orientation!!

Interview Details – I first entered the store asking if the were hiring, the hiring manager handed me an application. The next day I returned it to the store manager, she was really sweet and said they'd deffinetly call me for any interview. The next day a different manager called me and scheduled an interview a week from then. I went in and it was me with 9 other people, we were told to go over their credit card benefits. A few minutes later the first manager sat us all around their couches, she introduced herself and was again very nice! we all had to go one after the other and answer a diffeent question, then back around to answer someone elses question or talk about ourselves. At the end she pulled us away one by one to talk about apps, when it was my turn she told me to sell her the credit card right on the spot, and because i sold it to her(have fun with it) i was told to make my way silently to another area of the store where i was to have a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. He asked basic questions about my app and schedule, asked me another question and then asked me if i took a personality test. he then had me take one and when i was done he told me theyd look over my stuff and give me a call. the following day they called my reference and then called me right after offering the job.

Negotiation Details – I didnt feel like i was being put on the spot. Mainly for this interview just be your self and loosen up. I saw a few people that were trying to keep to there self. I think the key to this interview is to talk to the others in the group interview get to know them. Show the managers that you have personality.
