    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at American Family Insurance in April 2012.

    Interview Details

I was referred to the agent of the agency. I had years of other types of insurance sales experience but not property and casualty. Was hired with the expectation I would get my P&C license, which I did in a month and then begin to build a book of business, which takes time and persistent efforts of follow up. Many of the ones I had been working on didn't come through until after the first of the year which I then referred to other agents

    Interview Questions
    • there were not any difficult or unexpected questions just unexpected and unrealistic goals to be met every month. Insurance is very much a relationship business and it takes time to build the trust and get the information needed to give quotes from outside cold calling.   View Answer
    Negotiation Details
my hours and days as long as they met the 32 per week requirement. What i found after I accepted was the training was very poor and felt like I was set up to fail by the person who referred me to the position. the longer I was there the more uncomfortable I felt and felt the negative energy from both of them but continued to doing my best to bring in new business
