Interview Details – Initial application occurs online. If you receive a favorable review, you will receive an email requesting an automated telephone interview. This interview can be unnerving because you are not communicating with a live person. However, questions are standard and should be easy if you are comfortable interviewing. Phone questions include topics such as past experience, why are you the best candidate, what are your skills relevant to this position.

Interview Details –
I applied for an Associate Editor position with American Greetings via Monster.com in January of 2013. In March, I recieved an email from AG with instructions to fill out a Writing/Editing Test within a week and email the test back. Just an FYI to future applicants, this test is meant to be completed in Microsoft Word and NOT hand written and scanned in (I learned this the hard way). On the test it says that you will only be contacted IF AG is interested and you won't receive your test back, so if you really like your answers I suggest writing them out in a printed copy of the test booklet (and it IS a full 16 page booklet) and then typing up your answers later.
I was lucky enough to be contacted in May to set up an in person interview. Let me tell you, it is a LOOONG walk from the main entrance to the Editing department, so wear comfortable shoes! I was greeted by an extremely sweet and friendly woman from the Editing department who gave me a quick tour and led me to my interview.
My interview was supposed to be 30 minutes, but I ended up speaking with the interviewer for over an hour and 15 min. She was also sweet and asked standard interview questions about my background and experience as well as why I wanted to work there.
At the end of the interview, I was told they will be contacting me in two weeks or less to set up a second round interview.
All in all, it seems like the Editing department is great and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the job. The one negative aspect of this process has been the length of waiting time and overall lack of communication regarding the position.
*Edit- I was called back for a second interview, this time meeting with a managing editor and the editor from last time. It was one of the best interviews I've ever had. The entire time it just felt as if we were getting to know each other and I felt extremely comfortable as if I was just chatting with friends. The managing editor explained to me that this role would entail much more creativity than I was originally informed of and she asked me some questions specifically tailored to my creative mindset and problem solving skills. At the end of the interview (about an hour), I was told they will be making their final decisions shortly. Hopefully this extremely lengthy and somewhat arduous process will pay off!

Interview Details – I met with a few people from AG Interactive at a Career Fair. I gave them my resume and applied online. After a week, I received an email to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview lasted for ~30 minutes, and I spoke with 2 web developers. After another week, I received an offer. The people seem pretty relaxed and nice.
Interview Question –
What do you know about American Greetings?
Other than that, they asked about projects on my resume and about my technical + interpersonal skills.

Interview Details – A digital telephone interview was done prior to in person interview. Phone questions were a little hard due to time limit and not knowing what was to be asked. I was given 20 questions to ask with requests to give past employment examples/scenarios.
Interview Question – Type of questions: tell of a time when dealing with unhappy customer and how you dealt/resolved situation, how do you go about resolving an issue if you do not know how to go about getting it taken care of. Answer Question

Interview Details – The hiring process consisted of a basic HR interview. The questions were very basic, "tell me about your goals" or "tell me about a time that you had to manage a difficult person." There were not a lot of follow up questions.

Interview Details – I was called in for an interview with two employees that had the same job that I was applying for. Interview was brief, they allowed me to ask any questions I had reguarding the position. Took over two months before I got an email saying I was not selected for the job, by that time I already had accepted an offer somewhere else anyhow.

Interview Details – Contacted for a phone interview more than 6 months after applying for the position. The interview started off with the typical question "Why are you looking for a new job?". I was asked for my duties at my current job, my Excel and Access levels of expertise and if there was an opportunity for advancement at my current job. As others have pointed out they do ask about your strengths. I was quite surprised to hear that the recruiter who has been with the company for a very long time learnt about the private takeover offer from the Internet. I felt like the recruiter was annoyed by the questions I asked. Logically that was the end of the process.

Interview Details – The process will be handled by the hiring manager with little involvement from HR, most recruiter positions have been downsized. They will be looking for retail knowledge and an understadning on that particular retailer that the position will fill. The interview will be one on one and the overall interview will be less than 1.5 hours.

Interview Details –
Recruited, submitted sample works along with viewed resume, No phone interview, On Site Interview at World HQ.
I was interviewed by 3 individuals (Individuals who I would directly be working with, no HR involved) I was asked difficult behavioral questions, that included a brief technical questions. Like a combination because I was asked to explain technical issues in a down to earth way or situation.
