Cook Interview

Saint Charles, MO

I applied through other source and the process took a day - interviewed at Ameristar Casinos in November 2009.

Interview Details – My interview was pretty easy. I was good friends with the head of sanitation at the time. He walked me down stairs and gave my resume to about 3 Chefs. They asked me about my experience in cooking and where I wanted to go in this industry. I took maybe 10 minutes and was hired on the spot

Valet Interview

Saint Charles, MO

I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Ameristar Casinos in July 2009.

Interview Details – You will be asked several questions regarding any experience you may have with guest service. Ameristar is a guest service focused company and they take pride in treating their guests with the utmost hospitality. You will also be expected to be available for all week-ends and holidays so don't be surprised when they tell you that in the interview.
After going through this interview process you will be asked to take a drug screening test which is done by taking a sample of saliva with a cotton swab. It's really not a tough interview but be prepared to give up your own outside ambitions to get anywhere with this company.

Interview Question – They will ask you to tell them about a time you had a guest or customer who was completely irate and dissatisfied with you or a previous employer and what you did you quell their anger.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – N/A
