Interviewed Apr 2010 in Thousand Oaks, CA (took a day)
Asked mostly behavioral interview questions. Generally laid back, and did not ask any finance-specific questions. I was set up with a recent graduate who seemed like he really didn't want to be there interviewing.
Some examples: What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself? Give an example of how you've used leadership in one of your classes.
Be sure to have some questions of your own for the interviewer.

Interviewed Apr 2008 in Thousand Oaks, CA (took a day)
Interviewed lasted all day, but ended with the CIO. Various questions were asked pertaining to expertise, issue resolution, difficult situations and team dynamics. Overall, not a bad process which consisted of 1:1 and panel discussions. Subsequent day was spent with their relocation specialist on an "area tour" of the housing situation and tour of Thousand Oaks, CA in general. The interview went well as while I was with the realtor, I received the verbal offer.

I negotiated a higher starting salary because I had another offer
If you have only one offer, wait for them to give you a number. If asked, say that you'd prefer to see what they have in mind. Then always ask for more (10-15% more) with specific research in hand (knowledge about average pay for this position helps).
Ideally, get at least 2 offers and be upfront with both employers. Present the first offer you receive to the other employer and ask them for a competitive offer. Then take the offer from the second employer and submit it back to the first one, to give them a chance to improve on their offer. Only do this once with each employer. If you have three offers, you can submit your second revised offer to the third employer and see if they raise that. Give each employer one chance to raise their offer by comparing it to the latest offer you obtained. Don't forget to REDACT the offer by removing specific information about the names and telephone numbers of HR personnel and the likes. You then let them know you'll decide shortly and take the most advantageous offer.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Tucson, AZ (took 6 months)
The process began simply enough. On line application then standard phone screen . I had two employee recommendations and an individualized letter from my most recent manager who knew the hiring manager. I met with the hiring manager locally two separate times. The first time just a seemingly simple get to know you. The second a full presentation on who I am and why I am an excellent choice. I did a power point presentation with sales results, graphics, performance reviews, customer comments...full blown and seemingly well received. Then went to Los Angeles for two interviews. One again with the hiring manager . This time he required a full presentation , complete with mock up visual aid on the yet to be approved product. NExt interview was with another manager but more of a STAR format looking back at my handling of previous challenges. Then it was wait wait wait. They hired two candidates after a few months ( August or September) but then kept a pool waiting until October. They never did hire for the 3rd position and currently the drug is not approved.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Seattle, WA (took 2 weeks)
The interview was 100% professional. I got a call from the recruiter, next day he arranged for a telephone interview with 2 hiring managers. They were satisfied and then invited for a personal interview at Seattle. Everything has been taken care professionally. The interview was very intense, it is a full day interview, met about 30 people from different department. I gave a good presentation and it was well received. In fact at the end of the interview, I was very satisfied that I likely to get the job, since the hiring manager's were impressed and showed some +ve signs. But at the end I did not get and I missed the opportunity by narrow margin. Though it is frustrating, it is a great experience.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Thousand Oaks, CA (took 2 days)
It was a good experience overall but basically it consisted of a first round interview on site and there were two people interviewing. They asked behavioral type questions related to your resume and pay attention to details. Aside from this there were also questions about background and past work experience. They take you through the site.

Interviewed Feb 2009 (took a day)
Applied online, got contacted through email by the scientist in regards to an phone interview. There were two interviewers, both were very nice. The interview took about 30 minutes, the first ten munites was them asking questions about my resume, stuff that I noticed on my job--not very technical questions. Asked me what in my lab would describe me as, when I find time to do my research, what a typical day in my lab is like. They then told me that they would gauge my interest in Amgen and that position through the questions that I would ask them.
The position got canceled because there was not enough funds to continue that internship position.
