Interviewed Oct 2011 in Ada, MI (took 3 weeks)
Amway HR called me after they found my resume on Dice.com. Phone interviews with HR, hiring manager, 2nd line manager went well and were all within about a week. Invited to travel to Grand Rapids for face to face. Travel arrangements and other expenses (including town car service) were all prepaid and outstanding. Interview day was long and challenging. Met with HR twice, 1:1 with hiring manager, panel interview and phone interview with Director who was out of town. Questions were tough, focused on what I would do in certain situations, technical philosophy and a few left field ones to keep it interesting. No "gotcha" questions, all were relevant to the job. I was given ample time to ask my own questions and by the end of the day, I think they had a very good idea of my capabilities and how I work, and I had a very good idea of what they were trying to do. Difficult day but well worth it on both sides.

They switched jobs titles & roles a couple of times, trying to work out the best fit for me. They offered me a slightly more junior role than I applied for, with a little lower salary than I was targeting, but the work was about the same and the benefits and relocation package were top notch. I expect the opportunity for advancement will come quickly with good job performance on my part. Company is great to work for and has some unusual challenges. Benefits are a big factor, don't focus just on salary

The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 3 weeks)
Interviewed for a summer internship with Amway. Was flown to Grand Rapids - however they planned for me to arrive at the hotel after midnight. The car picked me up before 7 am. I had 7 interviews over the span of about 5 hours and they showed little care/concern during the process. It was an excruciating process for just an internship interview process.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
Interview consisted of two separate one on one interviews. first one was with their associates and it lasted for about 30 minutes. The interview was relatively informal and questions were straight forward, no stress test. I was asked about my back ground, education level, and what my goals are working here as an associate. after the first interview, I was asked to meet with a senior level associates and the process was pretty similar to the first one. Only this time, i was asked more about how motivated I am to work as an associate.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Ada, MI (took 5 months)
Amway has a process and they stick to it. Apparently it is a long process, you can't be in a hurry.
I received a call a month after applying to a posting. It was a great chat with their HR person. Everything went well, they just asked about my experience and where I'd like to be. A month later I contacted the HR person and they said that it was taking a while and would get back with me. A month later I contacted HR again and they said things were still progressing. Another month went by and I contacted HR and they said they were getting close to setting up interviews. All of this said, they were always friendly and quick to respond to my requests. Also, I have talked to others that have interviewed at Amway and they told me to expect a long process.
The interview process was straight forward. Met with HR, then the "director" and then the hiring manager, and then the team that I was going to be working with. All in all, a very normal interview process. But scheduled very well. You will always know when/where you will be during the several hours you're there.

They don't seem to "offer" anything, but I was able to negotiate a little extra. Maybe I could have gone for more, but I was very happy with the offer given and was happy with the way I was treated throughout the process.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Buena Park, CA (took 1 week)
Straight forward questions, easy to tackle. Mostly behavioral questions. I think people who interviewed me were really easy going. They do not try to pull in their weight on you. Nice people and a good company to work for.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Ada, MI (took 3 months)
From initial contact an in ordinate several weeks in which much enthusiasm was lost. Day of interview process discussed was not followed. Very casual discussion without much structure. Measured against today's best practices, this interview fell short. Key director was late and left early, seemed rushed while there. Really never given an opportunity to showcase talent or quality. Interview was too easy, which after the fact made the experience difficult to comprehend.
