An unexpected question and somewhat difficult to answer was

  about what I would do in a difficult customer service encounter. where a customer was angry and upset and everything you offered to do to resolve a problem was not satisfactory to the customer.

I believe I answered that I would apologize and offer an opportunity to speak with a supervisor. The answer must have been satisfactory because I was hired.
