Fast and easy. I received a phone call and was asked a few questions regarding my availability and how I would sell items to certain customers. The manager asked me if I'll e okay with wear heels everyday. They usually look for an associate that is energetic with open availability.

Quick and easy, not nerve wracking in the least. Staff was very approaching and the manager was friendly and easygoing. We discussed my work background, my history of working in retail and my availability. Very nice environment to be around

Applying online was pretty standard. I filled out forms regarding personal information after which I was prompted to complete an online survey. The survey took about thirty minutes to complete. You get asked questions regarding the way you would react to certain situations. Each question was timed.

    Interview Questions
    • Most difficult questions had to do with how you would deal with your boss during certain situations because they gave tricky answers that sounded very similar.   Answer Question

I applied online – interviewed at Ann Taylor.

    Interview Details

Applied online and then received a call about a week later. Was your typical interview, only about 15 min long. I thought the interview went alright, however I didn't think I was what they were looking for b/c I only could work for the summer. Interviewer said she would get back to me the next day with a decision. Well it has now been almost a month and I haven't heard anything--no email, no phone call, no letter, nothing. I find this very rude and disrespectful. I understand that not everyone is a good fit for the job, but at least have the decency to contact me and let me know that they weren't going to offer me a position.

    Interview Questions
    • Asked about previous experience, what i expect from my manager, if i was dependable, how i take criticism, etc. No real curve balls, but they did ask how I keep up on the latest fashion trends.   Answer Question

Applied online via third party website and was called into the store for an interview. Interview dress was business casual. The process was fairly casual and conversational with questions ranging from previous work experience to how friendly/open I am to meeting new people.

I applied online – interviewed at Ann Taylor in May 2014.

    Interview Details

Applied online. I got a call...2 and half weeks later. The interview was easy. I was asked about my experience, why I left/wanted to leave my current job, why I want to work with Ann Taylor, whether I stayed up to date with current fashion trends, how much I was expecting to get paid..

    Interview Questions
    • None. If you've had retail and customer service experience and interests in fashion, you already know the answers. "What is good customer service mean?", "Tell me about a time you went above and beyond." etc..   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Ann Taylor in April 2014.

    Interview Details

The application was online (even if you go into the store to ask for one, they're going to ask you to submit it online). I was called in for an interview just a few days after submitting my application, within a week. An interview was set up at the beginning of the following week and I started the following week of my interview date. The interview was very relaxed. We sat a table in the mall that the store was at. Be prepared to create multiple styled looks for a specific client that the ask for (it will most likely be the type of client that they regularly get in their specific store). Research their website for style tips and current trends and implement them into your style challenge to give them confidence that you do stay up-to-date with fashion, trends, and their seasons.
