The recruiter I spoke with really wanted to fill a Tampa position with a start date in 3 weeks. The interview was relatively easy but I would have needed to relocated and did not think that would be possible in the time frame given. I suggested a different location that she was also recruiting for and don't think it had the same need.

Interview was straight forward. First the recruiter called and checked me out and then I met with a local manager for a face-to-face interview. The recruiter asked the typical questions on "whats your background." "Why do you think you would fit the job."
The face-to-face interview was pretty casual. The whole thing was more of a conversation which is typical of sales positions. In all reality, he was looking for someone who could build relationships right from the start. I have no doubt he was looking for personality traits that would fit his desired description on the ability to build relationships and the desire for hiring someone long term.
It was a base of 27-30K plus commission with expectations of making about 50K your first year.
I had to call to find out they hired someone else but I did get the privilege of talking with the hiring manager and asked him some constructive criticism on what he thought of my interview. That was extremely appreciated!
Overall, this was a good experience.

Interview happened so quickly and I was offered a second interview so I guess we will see what comes from it. Met with someone who was very straightforward about what she wanted, how she wanted, and the kind o person she wanted to work with her. Just not sure what the position actually consists of.

This is a Contractor company who was very interested in placing me in MIT Lincoln Labs as a contract employee. We had several phone conversations reviewing my qualification. They called me in and agreed on salary if MIT LL accepted my contract. MIT LL decided to hold off on hiring for this job and nothing came of it.
If I were to work with APEX again, I would get a clearer idea of what MIT LL wanted and work on revising my resume with APEX before sending it to MIT LL.
Interview Questions
The hardest question was: "If we are able to place you, would a 30K raise be enough?"

Apex was very respectful of my time available to interview. Interviews were limited to a face to face, and a follow-up half day with the team.
All communications were friendly and professional. During the interview process all the employees were super helpful, and went out of their way to explain various recruiting concepts, and tools being used.
I believe my IT background with sales experience certainly helped with my transition into this role, and gave me an advantage over other candidates.

Apex handled the interview process very well and is a top notch company to work. The online tools are simple and efficient, the people working at the main office are always polite and friendly. Apex is very sympathetic to the needs of their contractors and worked hard to get me a good pay and benefits at the company where I worked.
