Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA) in June 2009.

Interview

Initial phone interview involved some basic C questions - and a coding assignment that had to be completed and e-mailed back within a day of the phone interview. Actual interview was from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM - I believe 9 interviews in total. Questions ranged from C coding, to 3GPP wireless questions, to wireless communication theory. Best bet is to not BS anything - and be honest and upfront about what you know with the interviewer and what you don't know. Because if you say you know something and you really don't, it can go really bad. And whatever you know, do a core dump of everything and also show that you can really think on your feet and not get stuck on a question.

Interview Questions

  • Explain the different wirless modulation schemes and the comparable probability of error ratios and how they relate to overall data throughput and why.   Answer Question

Negotiation

Salary - $80000 was negotiated to $85000 as a fresh grad
