No Offer – Interviewed in Cupertino, CA Oct 2011 – Reviewed May 23, 2012
Interview Details –
This was by far the most lengthly and tiring interview ever. There were two phone interviews which lasted for 30 minutes each. After which, I was invited to the Cupertino facility to interview. The arrangements were pretty good. Apple takes care of the flight, car and hotel so your out of pocket expenses are very litte. The actual interview was very very tiresome.
I was interviewed by 14 (yes - in one day) employees. Each for 30 minutes. There employees included some at the peer level and some at the supervisory level. Most of the interviews were pretty technical with some focusing on core problem solving and some actually getting into theoretical physics (Solve this circult diagram based on Ohms law). The one thing that struck me as negative was that atleast 5 employees spoke negatively of the company and complained about the lack of work/life balance.
All in all, this was a negative experience for me since I didnt get the job, but every time I followed up with HR, they said that "everybody loves you!". Six months and still waiting.
