Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
Very unorganized and unprofessional interview. HR personnel invite people for interview without knowing the needs for a specific department. There is no planned agenda in interviewing processes. So what they want me to do is "Do a presentation of one of your projects" on the chalk board. Then, they start calling some department managers to join in. People came in and left the room randomly. Some cellphone rings. Some just talk on the phone. Unbelievable: some questioned me wrong concept (very basic concept that all engineer learned in their Junior College) I am not joking indeed. Should I work with those people for a living?
Reason for Declining
They got to think about a mutual respect in every aspect of lives. They got to know some people need job for not for making money. Some are working for their passion, interests, and professional improvement. We also went interview for not answering all the questions and not for being judged. They got to know the interviewees also have opportunities to judge them. That they got to learn!
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Santa Clara, CA (took a day)
Just took the first round on-campus interview so far. The interviewer was disappointingly unenthusiastic about the entire affair. Not helpful at answering any questions or providing any motivation for further conversation. Gave off the impression that working at Applied is all work and no satisfaction.
