Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Volo, IL Feb 2011 – Reviewed Dec 14, 2011
Interview Details – Interviewing began with a screening phone interview with the franchise Sales Manager which resulted in being invited to a group interview. The group interview was conducted by the Sales Manager, the owner, and a corporate Sales Director. This interview was geared at discussing my previous sales experience and evaluating my communication skills, appearance etc. Within 2 hours I was invited to interview one on one with the owner the next day who took little time in offering me the position.
Interview Question – Are you what you appear to be? View Answer
Negotiation Details – This position was presented by the sales manager to be a choice of 12% commission and a weekly $200 base salary or 15% straight commission. I chose the first and discovered two weeks later that it was actually an advance on commissions. This, among other issues with the new franchise caused the Sales Manager to be replaced and my later exit from the company. But, the owner has not; as of yet, persued reimbursement .This is due to the lack of promised 'qualified leads' and lack of professionalism of the SM.
