Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 3 weeks)
Great interview process. They really make sure you fit within the company before they extend an offer.
I applied online and received an e-mail from HQ about setting up an interview. I scheduled it online and received a call on the expected date/time with a member of the recruiting team.
After I passed that interview, I was set up with another interview at the actual property I would be working at. I met with the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager and the interview was easy if you knew what you were talking about. They asked plenty of behavioral based questions.
Next, I was set up with an interview with the Operations Manager in the Regional Office and this was basically a conversation. These people are very easy to talk to and are really interested in talking to you and learning more about why you want this job.
I received an offer the day after I met with the OM.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Arlington, VA (took 1+ week)
Very comfortable and suprisingly pleasant experience. Not a fan of interviews, but who is. Regardless, this was a very painless experience. I felt very welcomed and enjoyed speaking to every Archstone associate I encountered along the way. I would recommend that every applicant review their website as in depth as possible.
