Interviewed Nov 2011 in White Plains, NY (took a day)
They had a total of four people interviewing each applicant, one is from HR and the rest are analysts. They gave several case interviews specific to the credit card industry. If you could, make sure you do extensive research on the industry, and think about questions such as what kind of people are most likely to occur credit card fees, how to identify them, etc. They also had a few brain teasers. They are easy as long as you still have a sharp mind after hours of interview. Also, go over your statistical knowledge such as R^2=1-SSE/SSTO.

Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Dec 2010 (took 2 days)
People there look very young and friendly. Interviewers asked about past experience, checked technical skills.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
They were trying to give me a low ball offer as I was not employed at that time. Also, I heard about abusive work hours from people who used to work there. So I decided to keep looking for a job instead of taking their offer. A few months later, someone I met at a training told me similar story about this company (that they were trying to low ball offer her).

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 1+ week)
Quite different interview, though the position which I had been interviewed did not involve much of technical knowledge, I had been stressed on technical questions. Expect some kind of puzzles or riddle. I thought it was ridiculous and not needed

Interviewed Jun 2011 in White Plains, NY (took a day)
I had three one on one interviews. They all combined case study, resume and fit questions. They are very interested in you knowing about how credit card companies work, how they make money, and what their expenses are.
The first interviewer's case study was about how much credit card companies make per person, per year. The interviewer walked me through the case study but kept using "insider" terms for things that I did not know, when a simpler term would have sufficed.
The second interviewer's case study was to determine how many light bulbs are sold in the united states in a year.
The third interviewer's case study was about what groups would be the most profitable to a credit card company. I was given four groups with information about their credit card habits and was then asked questions about these groups.
The resume and fit questions were the usual things. "Why do you want to work at Argus?", "Tell me about this part of your resume", "Do you have any programming experience?"
Interview Questions
Group One: Uses the credit card a lot but never carries over a balance.
Group Two: Uses the credit card a lot and carries over a balance every month.
Group Three: Uses the credit card occasionally and carries over a balance every month.
Group Four: Never uses the credit card.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in White Plains, NY (took a day)
I received a phone interview. The gentlemen seemed depressed and monotone. He didn't express any emotion. The work culture seems arduous . He mentioned "Here at Argus we work a lot. 9-6 is a minimum. 10 hour days are the average." He asked me a total of 2-5 things and the interview did not seem to go well. It lasted 18 minutes with a 30 minute max.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 2 days)
the interviewer suggested that quantitative knowledge is important but inquisitive attitude is more necessary. it was a 1-1 phone interview, it lasted for about 35 minutes. the interviewer listened very well; it gave me a good impression. they changed the interview schedule a couple of times though, and it was a little bit annoying.
