Interviewed Dec 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 5 weeks)
Over all positive experience. I thought everyone was very nice. The only negatives I have were the fact that before you become fully employed you have to bring in X amount of dollars which you have to split with one of the senior partners. They don't tell you this until the very end. It's commission only and they make it sound to good to be true. 120k after two years... Yea ok. I had lunch with some of the younger ones there and they were in year 3 making 50k... I don't like to have smoke blown up my @ss. If they were straight with me about what I was to expect the outcome would have been different. It just felt like a pyramid scheme. Then again it's a cut throat business and they burn through people who don't produce enough clients... But that's the whole "financial planning" industry now. It's more about selling products then actually helping a client. You have to find a small practice if that's what your looking for.
