Customer Support Lead Interview

Customer Support Lead
Dublin, OH

I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Ashland Distribution.

Interview Details – People are hired through panel interviews, all job postings both internal and external are done by applying through the company website. Customer Support Representatives were hired through a temporary agency, Innosource. There is a minimum four month trial period during which employees are technically working for Innosource instead of Ashland.

Interview Question – I once heard an applicant asked what they would want to remembered for contributing to the company. I thought this was a great question, and one that most people wouldn't expect to hear.   View Answer

Sales Account Manager III Interview

Sales Account Manager III
Santa Ana, CA

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Ashland Distribution in May 2010.

Interview Details – HR talks to you by phone. You then take a personality test. If you get by their recommendation then you have a panel interview with the Manger and other peers in the same career path. Best to have an employees referral to get past the initial HR phone interview. Panel interview is not a difficult interview as long as you know you stuff. The online test at the end catches you off guard. Be prepared to do a little math, spatial relations and word association.

Interview Question – How will you handle the move to the new region?   View Answer

Sales Specialist - Training Program Interview

Sales Specialist - Training Program

I applied through college or university and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Ashland Distribution in January 2008.

Interview Details – Had a 1:1 interview on campus with hiring manager. Narrowed down to 12 for a panel interview at their office. Panel consisted of 2 district managers, a regional manager, and a senior account manager. Also went on a plant tour. Mostly consisted of behavioral/situational questions. Knowledge of company/industry was a plus. Out of 12 they hired 2.

Interview Question – When did you face an objection in a work/group setting and overcome it?   Answer Question
