Negotiation Details

I was happy with my salary offer and accepted it with joy. The salary and benefits (insurance) were welcoming. The bonus promises are unrealistic as with most AL corporations. So I did not look at them with any promise. I was interested in the actual promise.........salary and insurance.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Nov 2008 (took 4+ weeks)

I had previously been employed at a property ALC acquired. I heard there was a job opening, so I went on-line and applied. I was quickly granted an interview the next week. It was over a 2 hour drive to get to the interview location. The interviewer spent about 15 minutes with me. Hardly asked me any questions. A few days later I received a call from the CEO and had a telephone interview. I felt verbally abused and was criticized for my background, experience and skills. It became very apparent it was all about the income generated from residents than providing them with care, compassion and a better quality of life. I knew immediately the company micromanaged its employees. I never heard from them again, which suited me fine.
