Part 2: The hands overlap 11 times every 12 hours following noon, or once every 12/11ths of an hour. The overlap for 6oclock would have already happened at 6:33 or so (remember that it is 6:45 right now), so the next time would be 7 + 7/11th of an hour, or 7:38:12 seconds.
