Interviewed May 2008 (took 2 weeks)
The company was filling a position which was for preneed (burial) insurance wherein the candidate was working for both Assurant and a separate private business. The process was confusing, detailed, intense, and lengthy.

Was call to set up a phone interview with a recruiter, if they like you then you will have another phone interview with a hiring manager. If you pass that then they will ask for you to come in and do a face to face interview. The final hurdles is that you have to take a skill test.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
The interview was one of these "Let's see how much you can remember about things you don't ever use!" Ridiculous technical questions. These are questions about definitions that can be looked up in 10 seconds if I ever needed reminding of them. Nothing about the results I have produced, but only technical questions of obscure origin. This is an insurance company, but they act like they are a top software shop. Give me a break-I didn't want to work for them anyway!

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 days)
My initial interview was at a recruitment event, where I met the two hiring managers. They were impressed with my Human Resources background and thought it would be a good fit for the position which required selling their Affordable Health Insurance product(s) to small business owners.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 3 weeks)
I had a 1:1 interview on the phone with the Recruiter. I then was contacted by the hiring manager and a department manager via phone for another interview which lasted about 45 minutes. About a week later I was contacted by the recruiter who informed me that the company had decideed on an internal candidate.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
After working in the BI domain for a little more than 12 years, this is one of those unique place where I found a bunch of jokers asking questions. Right within 5 minutes of the interview I clearly got the message that this position is not worth for me...Seems like a band of people and a director are running the show there like a family business...None of them has expertise in this field and the way they asked questions clearly exposed their lack of knowledge and skills..Since it came from a recruiter whom I had very good relation with and don't want to spoil the rapport I had with him, I try to be as polite as possible during this interview and unfortunately couldn't ....There is a chinese guy who claimed he is a BI techincal lead or Manager and was asking questions which threw me off my chair. Very rude ,Not at all familiar with fundamentals and not in a position to reply if we throw a counter question or ask for more details. I had a tough time listening and understanding his conversation. On top of this the position given to me mentions that I will be "reporting" to him for all day to day work. His counterpart who sounded like an anchor lady was coming with textbook questions..Come on guys look at the resume before you call people for interview !!!! There is a question below to rate the interview...I would say this was one of the worst set of interviewers I have come across in my entire career...

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Atlanta, GA (took 2 weeks)
I interviewed with 3 individuals, the first two being peers the third being the department head. Usual questions, about my experience and how I would handle certain situations. The department head threw me for a loop, asked me to give him directions from my house to the office, I am very bad with directions so I became very nervous, and as silly as I knew it was I couldn't calm down, I blew it!
