I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Avis Budget in February 2013.
Interview Details – Submitted my resume online. Was asked to complete an assessment online immediately after submitting my resume. Received an email 4 days later to contact the recruiting department for a phone interview. Phone interview was fairly simple with basic interview questions to get a sense of a person's work ethic and management style. Was given an appointment immediately during the phone interview to meet a recruiter at the airport. Met with one of the operations managers at Ft Lauderdale airport. Interview went well, asked about my job history, why I was changing careers, why I wanted to work for Avis Budget. At the end of the interview he inquired why I was applying for an RSA position and not a managerial position. Gave me an immediate interview with the District Manager.
Interview Question – Nothing difficult or unexpected. Fairly typical interview. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – I was asked if I would like to accept the RSA position, or if I would rather be a manager. I have chosen to pursue management positions within the company.
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Avis Budget in December 2012.
Interview Details –
- Online Application
- Online Assessment (try not to be in between be strong ie strongly agree, strongly disagree)
- Phone Interview (Be very peppy and energetic make sure to tell them you have some experience in sales and comission even if it was just once or for a short amount of time who cares that's your expeience give details about it and SPECIFIC EXAMPLES!)
- F2F wow the manager probably Mike Beliveau with your sales experience if you can quantify it he likes that he has worked at Abercrombie so retail experience is a plus. He has played lacrosse and loves golf. He has issues with someone who has strong beliefs shyou are ready to be molded wvwn though you have experience. IE "I can always get better" "there's no such thing as bad critiscm".)
- F2F Again (optional) They're a little unsure about you give them something other than sales show them you are able to provide sales experience but you care about the customer and company too. Be dressed verry professional management LOVES a nice tie. Let them know that you get the driven sales person and the softie who loves the customer and company like family.
Interview Question –
They may ask you to sell some random object to them such as a pen or piece of paper. Every salesman knows you can sell anything by using grand adjectives. IE This brand new design and 100% spherical technology allows for a better flow.
Another toss up is that they may ask you to use a procedure already in practice with them PTL this stands for people travel luggage. In this procedure you ask how many people are traveling 1, then where are you traveling to 2, last how much luggage do you have. Now after this they will ask you based on what they said to recommend a car so you gotta know at least three get an SUV a large sedan or a luxury car. Tell them some features and why it works with their situation. BAM they're shocked and you've landed a depressing but well paid job. View Answer
Negotiation Details – No negotiation it is a union based job at 10.25 to start sounds bad but commission pays off and go tax exempt for a month or two big bucks. The union protects you as well so be glad you have that.

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Avis Budget in September 2012.
Interview Details – Simple, applied online received an email within a couple days saying to call for an interview on the phone. It took about an hour on the phone and then they scheduled an in-person interview with airport manager. I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Avis Budget.
Interview Details – The process - Is tedious. Gives you the "feeling" you are moving forward, when in actuality you are not. First you complete an online assessment - which is like a cross between a personality test and an skills/knowledge test. Then you receive an email that tells you to call in to speak to a recuriter for the next step in the process - this is really a call center with someone reading you scripted interview questions. After this process - they say "OK you passed and are ready to move on to the next phase with is a F2F interview, but we don't have any openings..........Why did i just go through all this then????? Anyway, they say they will call you - for me 5-6 weeks have passed and I haven't heard anything. Not sure what happened LOL
Interview Question – Well, it was typical interview questions. However, they did ask if I was willing to relocate to a different state if that is where I was needed...... Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Avis Budget in September 2012.
Interview Details – Had the phone interview, it went ok. About a month later I got another call to schedule an in person interview. Arrived on time, small back office, they had no clue that there was an interview schedule for that day. After about 20 mins of time wasting, they proceeded with the interview anyway. Apparently I was the only person interviewed for that position. Interview went well, but it seems the job was never open. So it turned out to be a giant waste of my time and gas.
Interview Question – they were all straightforward interview questions, nothing unusual. Answer Question
