Interviewed Sep 2011 in Virginia Beach, VA (took a day)
From the time I applied online to the actual interview, it took 2 weeks. The building is guarded by security guards, so you have to check in and get a badge. The HR representive came to get me to bring me to the office and called the person in from the department to interview. The lady admitted she has no experience in interviewing. She said the boss was on vacation and she was going to pass on the notes to him when he gets in. She asked what position was I applying to, which I told her. She went on to explain briefly what the job entails. She then asked me is this the something I would be interested in and would be able to do, which I responded yes because of my education background. She says the position is not done as a group but independent, could I handle that. I said that it would not bother me because I would be working on paperwork and finding information for the claim department. She asked what are my strength and weaknesses, I answered that my strength is thatI can adapt to the changing environment because the work process might change or another software might be incorporated in the system. She asked me what made me apply to this company, I responded that I liked that fact that the company maintain stability in the recession. She asked did I have any questions for her, I asked about the company benefits, how ling the hiring process, and how many interviews needed for the position. She didn't know if the manager will want to do interviews himself when he gets in from vacation. Their benefits held steady even in recession.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
The recruiter for the phone interview was really nice and I think she liked me, however at the end of the interview I was informed that there wasn't any appointments available yet for a second interview which led me to wonder why they called me for a interview in the first place.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Charlotte, NC (took 2 weeks)
I applied online and about 2 weeks later I was contacted by a recruiter. He asked pretty basic questions like "Why do I think i'd be good for the customer service position" and "what would past employer say about me" it was very easy and the recruiter was very friendly. About two days later I was contacted for second interview....which was conducted at 9pm....the recruiter was not very enthusiastic and seemed very dry. Literally every question he asked started with "Tell me about a time when". The questions weren't difficult at all. He told me the salary was 8.50 which was way lower than I was initially informed. I received an email saying that I didn't get the job......I'm not exactly complaining though lol.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 2 days)
After the intial phone interview, I was told to meet the "hiring manager" at the airport location. I was greeted by a lady who asked my name and followed by saying " you are early"...I was there exactly at the time required! My suspecion that no one really had a clue about the interview grew as the same lady asked an individual to interview me and the other person declined!!! After about forty minutes I was invited to a room when a young man asked me some questions....he went on to say he needs to get a supervisor to continue....he came back after ten minutes with a sheet and asked me to study it and then tested my selling skills!!! He finished by saying the job is evenings (all nighters) and weekends since the system is seniority based and that the supervisor that was supposed to interview me will look at my resume and call back if interested...Frankly I am shocked by ow disorganized these people were. I feel bad for the poor employees!!!

Interviewed May 2010 in Parsippany, NJ (took 2 days)
I was initially contacted by HR as a standard phone screen just to get to know me a little bit better and such. Through HR, I set up another phone interview with someone within the department and group that I was going to be working with. A day later, I was contacted by the manager of that department for the phone interview. She asked the standard interview questions; it wasn't very difficult. The interviewer was very enthusiastic and kind so I felt very comfortable. I should have been brought in for an in-person interview as well but I was in the middle of exams at the time and they were understanding enough to know that it would have been difficult for me to come in. The very next week, HR called me again to let me know that they were extending me an offer.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Memphis, TN (took 2 weeks)
I applied online for customer service representative position and within a week I received a phone call from the Avis Budget Group. The questions that were asked were mainly pre-screening questions, a couple concerning my previous jobs and how my previous employers would rate me. I was then told that someone would contact me if they felt I was a good candidate for the position. I just received a phone call from the HR department, 15 days later,. They ask to set up an interview time. Will update with more information when I get back from interview.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Seattle, WA (took 5 days)
Went in Filled out application then sat with a assistant to insure it was filled out properly then interviewed with a sales manger. The manager asked questions related to sales and customer service, and expected answers with examples from previous employers. It was pretty straight forward and simple nothing to major. At then end of the interview she seemed to pause and ask if i had any questions but i knew she was waiting for me to ask for the job, come on its a sales job if you don't have the balls to ask for the job you might as well get out. She then asked me to return in 45 minutes for a second interview. The second interview was a little more difficult, he asked questions related to my best and worst sale. Then we did a mock sale for a customer so he could get and idea of how i could handle objections and follow their sales process. After that he said he would like me to take a personality test, and said i could leave afterward. I took the test and was prepared to leave but the assistant asked me to wait in the lobby. I waited and received a third interview where I was offered the position contingent upon me passing a drug test and background check.

The hiring process for this job did not take much time at all. It seems they are just trying to get someone to except the low hourly rate they offer.
