Application

I applied through other source. The process took a dayinterviewed at BASF Group in December 2010.

Interview

The interview was conducted extremely unprofessionally. The Human Resource personnel was just an extremely young girl (23-25?) who may have thought too highly of BASF's position in the world to understand humility.

The entire interview seemed to be a "free-for-all talk-you-down" session where I had to endure a string of demeaning and insulting comments. Questions included highly personal ones which would have resulted in the company getting itself sued if asked in the USA. Some questions may not even have any relevance to the post at all. The interview went so bad that I almost stopped the interview halfway and walked off. This easily ranks as the most unprofessional and insulting interviews I had ever been through. I wonder if the HR department had any form of training in interviewing techniques at all. Or perhaps, I was their first guinea pig.

Interview Questions

  • Why are you married/single/divorced? ( I will not reveal my personal marital status here to protect my own privacy)   Answer Question
