Interviewed Mar 2012 in Winston Salem, NC (took 2 days)
Two-day interview process. Started with a broad explanation about the program on day one. The second day consisted in three interviews. Beginning with a persuasion exercise in the first interview. Then an essay exercise, and finally an interview designed to find how suitable the individual is to the job. In general, I can say that BB&T is driven by its values and mission, being that with what the candidate must be in total harmony to be considered. Great experience.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took a day)
Interviewed on campus with a BB&T recruiter, who was very easy to talk to, for about forty five minutes. Began with filling out a form to identify my areas of interest, then we discussed each of the options listed, and moved into the question and answer section of the interview. Finished the interview and received an email about a week later asking for a personality test.

Still in recruitment process. First-round interview was 1-on-1 and ended with the recruiter giving a detailed explanation of the program. Left with a positive impression of firm.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took a day)
The interview was primarily behavioral questions. Tell me about a time when you demonstrated leadership. Tell me a time when you acted without having all of the information available. There was also a current events question. Mine was tell me how you think the recent crisis in 2008 occurred. The interviewer liked hearing that I had a lot of questions.

Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Winston Salem, NC (took 4 months)
First round interview was all behavioral. Pretty basic question: What caused the recession, who's at fault for the housing collapse.
Took caliper assessment online as next step.
Then was invited to Winston-Salem for two day process. On second day had behavioral interview, case study, persuasion interview, and a written assessment. None of the questions were bad, case study was on buying a new regional bank. Written was why banks are important.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 2 days)
Very laid back and little pressure. Very different from interviews I have done with firms in NYC. Mostly just information on the program along with a case study and a role playing exercise. Neither really seemed to rattle anyone who this was not the first interview for.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Winston Salem, NC (took 6 weeks)
I had worked for the company as a teller for 3 summers and was invited to interview for the LDP after dropping my resume at a career fair. The interview took place at a local office and consisted of a set of predetermined questions. The interviewer was not a graduate of the LDP program, not an HR worker. The interview took 30 minutes. I was contacted at the end of the next month saying that I was not considered for the final round.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 4 weeks)
First round is a 1:1 interview. If you pass that they have you take a test that looks at your personality along with some analytic skills. In the test it will show you a series of numbers and then ask what number comes next. I just completed the test and am waiting to see if I can go up to Winston-Salem for the final round of interviewing. Great company and great experience interviewing with them so far.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Winston Salem, NC (took a day)
There were a few behavioral interview questions and the standard going over the resume. Why are you the best candidate for this program? What was the cause of the financial crisis? Those were two you should expect to answer. Overall, it felt pretty laid back. If you have prepared for behavioral interview questions, there shouldn't be any surprises.
