Interviewed Jun 2010 in Lewisville, TX (took a day)
A day after I dropped off my application with the store manager, she contacted me to set up a 1:1 interview for the next day. The process was quick and I could tell they were looking to fill the position immediately. I went in for the interview which took place in the store, she asked me questions about my previous positions and what I had learned from them. The questions were focused on how important customer service and suggestive selling are and how I would reach my monthly sales goal. After the question portion, she gave me three scenarios on types of customers and asked me to choose appropriate clothing for each lady.
My interviewer was friendly but she seemed eager to speed through the process.

Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 1 week)
Was asked some questions on fashion and customer service during the one on one, on the spot she offered me to come in and do a working interview. I went in for an hour and manager watched me an how I interacted with customers and if I asked questions, straightened up floor, etc. the other associates seemed timid towards me at first but then warmed up after I was hired. It's a bit nerve wracking
At first trying to get someone to purchase $300 dollar blouse. But the quality is incompatible and truly unique style clothing. After the working interview I was given a phone call either later that day or the next and was offered.

The interview went pretty casual and went quite well. The manager who interviewed me was pleasant and very considerate. Of course, a sales-driven and customer service oriented staff is what they they're looking. Be prepared to cite examples how you provide excellent customer service.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 2 days)
Came in for the Job Fair. Got an interview right on the spot with the store manager and was offered to come in for the shadow session. I believe a huge reason of why I was offered to come in the next day is because I looked professional yet fashionable . I also showed my interest in BCBG clothes and that I was already a customer of the brand. Was offered a job at the shadow session.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Costa Mesa, CA (took 4 weeks)
I was contacted through the internet to arrange a phone interview. I made plans to have the phone interview and was later sent an email that she was busy. I sat with the phone for 30 minutes until I checked my email to see that she had emailed me over an hour before to cancel. She was really nice and when you are looking for work you also want to be easy going as well. Then it happened again:( Finally I did get to the next person for a 1:1 interview for the assistant management position. I drove quite far to meet at a mall that was far away from my house. I am college educated and also have higher education, I felt it would be exciting to bring my talents and personal ability to build relationships with a multi generational brand. The brand I interview for was the BCBGeneration was geared towards 20 to 30 years olds. Even though I am older I feel that a diverse work environment brings great results. I was then asked what my "brand fit" was? I have been wearing the brand since the 90's and answered honestly of course that it was BCBG maxazria. I also have an extensive sales background and store assistant management would be the next step to my career. I heard back that they wanted me to interview with the BGBG Maxazria brand. So I arranged another 1:1 interview with their store manager. Thinking of course that it would be for the title of the position that I first applied for as assistant management. I had received such nice emails from their home office saying we are all on the same page! I was so excited!
I then met with the store manager and she was wonderful and someone who understood my experience and what I would be bringing to their brand. They wanted to focus on personal client relationship building which is my strong point. Then during the interview I hear that I am not interviewing for a assistant management position! I was so disappointed by this! It was for a stylist position, which I would have still also considered if the pay matched what I was making at my last job. She was only looking for stylists and had many assistant managers. I was so sad to hear this news I got dressed up and planned so much for the interview only to find out that it was not comparable to my last job. I wish that was relayed to me at some point so I could have thanked them and not continued the process.

I was then told that the position would not only not offer full time hours which I need as a professional. Only 20 to 30 and then the biggest windfall! 10 dollars and hour! Plus commission which was vague as to being 3 percent? She was so understanding and offered me the chance to continue the process with a 1 hour in store demonstration of how I show my skills. That was the next step in their process to be evaluated in their store. I of course thanked her and can not consider a position for such low pay. I think it is perfect for an "at home mom" that wants to have a fashion link and extra spending money. My situation needs to able to count on a larger base pay in order to meet the needs of my family. I wish I had known that I was not considered for the position I applied for. I was very disappointed due to my love for this brand and the talent I know I would have brought to their company. I am very driven and have a strong communication skills with clients of all ages.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Phone Interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I went into the store to apply for the job.
The manager let me fill in the form and asked me some typical interview questions. For example, "What do you know about the company?" and " Talk about yourself."
And then, the manager decided to arrange another interview at another time.
In the second interview, the manager tested me styling clothes for herself in a dinner party occasion.
After the role-play, she said she will call my reference and make decision.
Few days after, I got the job offer.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 5 days)
The interview process for myself was pretty easy. I was very persist for working. I actually dropped my resume off a few times before I received a call for an interview. I met with the manager not to long after and she asked me basic questions like. Why do I wanna work for BCBG? What type of skills could I bring to the working environment? Can I sell? Am I good with talking to people?

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I have heard nothing but horror stories about working for this company but I needed a job at the time so when I received an email from their recruiter I allowed myself to be open to the opportunity.
I initially had a phone interview with their human resources director and then was asked to come in for a formal interview with the recruiter as well as with a very senior member of the design team. At this meeting we went over my portfolios, resume and had a candid conversation about my background/experience and how I might be able to help meet their needs. At the end of the interview I was asked to do a small design project, which in my experience as a designer (over 15 yrs) is not uncommon and so I agreed.
We agreed that I would have it completed for them in 2 weeks and we scheduled the second meeting. Escorting me on my way out the recruiter mentioned to me that in the 4 months that they had been interviewing for the position this is only the second time that she had seen them ask someone for a project and to take it as a very good sign. I did and so I worked very hard on that project.
When the time came for the second meeting I was very much looking forward to showing them what I could do for them if hired...the voice of the recruiter still echoing in my head, "take it as a very good sign." So, imagine my surprise/disappointment to discover that I would only be meeting with the recruiter and not the person who had assigned me the project. The recruiter looked the project over and then asked if I would be willing to reschedule our meeting and leave the project so that it could be reviewed for the next meeting. I had all sorts of little red flags popping up and screaming at me to just get the hell out but I needed the job and in the spirit of being flexible I said, "Sure". Famous last words.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. The following meeting was cancelled. They still had my project so I emailed. The email wasn't returned. They still had the project so I emailed again and again and again and again. Not one email was returned. I finally decided to use legal jargon regarding the work as my intellectual property and my rights regarding the work....lo and behold an almost immediate email response saying that they were trying to locate the work and would get back to me asap.
Long story short, they never found my project. Maybe it got legitimately lost, maybe it got thrown in the trash or maybe it got sent off to China to be produced... who knows? I certainly didn't so I did what I thought was right and sent them an invoice. Which 6 months and many emails later they paid. (applause)
It doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out that they didn't offer me the position and it doesn't take one to figure out that I would never accept a position from them if it had been offered.
