Interviewed Dec 2011 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 2 days)
I just walked into the store and handed in my resume. Store manager gave me an application form to fill out so I did it. After two days, store manager called me and set a meeting for interview. Interview was extremely easy. She just asked me the reason why i wanted to work and then she offered me to start working right next day.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
I was contacted to interview for a Store Manager position and was very excited at the possibility of finally entering back into retail/fashion (my passion) after working in corporate finance for some time. The interview went great, but because of lack of managerial experience, I was somewhat offered a lower position. I was told the District Manager would probably also like to speak to me and they would be in contact with me that day or the next. Never heard from them. Two weeks later I phoned the interviewer and was told they were still waiting to hear from the District Manager. A month later now, I've still not heard anything. That being said they asked how I would upsale, how I would deal with an employee not meeting their quota, etc. It was more of a conversation type interview, which has been a huge change from financial interviews. My advice is to ask the interviewer questions, be dressed fashion forward, be energetic and let your personality shine through. I was interested in working my way up to corporate and growing within the company, so I had a lot of questions regarding the process, which the interviewer did great in answering all questions. It was pleasant, I just wish the follow-up process was a little more professional.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 1 week)
The interview was more of a conversation than it was questions and answers. When we were finished it was almost as if I didn't even know we had started because I simply thought we were just making small talk

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 3 months)
The interview process was extremely lengthy band unreasonably drawn out. The person that I did the majority of the interviews with would ultimately be my direct supervisor. He was professional and very energetic about the position and the company. After two months of emailing and phone conversations I had my first face to face which went well. The next month, yes MONTH, I was flown to NYC to meet with the same gentleman and an RM. Again, things went smoothly and I was pretty sure I nailed it. After another 3 weeks I was contacted via text message, asking me if I could talk and was offered the job which I accepted.
Ultimately, after 14 weeks my supervisor resigned and I was released. During the offer stage, I made it clear that I would be having back surgery and it wasn't a problem. When I eventually requested the tie off, I was let go because they couldn't accommodate the time I would need away from work. I have learned first hand that the company truly doesn't value their employees.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 3 weeks)
The interview process was very professional. I had great communication with multiple members of BCBG throughout the interview process. My first interview was over the phone and lasted for about 1.5 hrs. My experience was positive and was excited about learning more from the District Manager who I would interview with a week later. The District Manager was very poised and had a great sense for fashion. The interview lasted about 2 hours. It was a 2 way conversation which made it nice and easy to find out what the company looks for in Managers. If you are seeking employment here, make sure you are fashion forward and have experience with high-end specialty retail.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
Unfortunately the Company does not offer competitive compensation like their competitors. For a high-end specialty retail store, they need to increase their compensation package if they really want strong leaders. I had other offers on the table and BCBG offered the lowest and was not even near the same figures as the other specialty retail companies.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in Lubbock, TX (took a day)
Walked in to the store and they were in need of help. I gave them my information and had a quick interview with the Floor Supervisor. I had a lot of background retail experience and presented my resume, so I was hired almost immediately. They ran a background check and contacted my references within the same day. I was hired and began working almost immediately. It was a very smooth process.

They just string you along. Horrible horrible horrible.
They offered me an entry- level salary when I have many years of experience in the industry. They offer the lowest salary possible.. ridiculous.
They were not nice, didn't seem professional at all, rude.
The person who interviewed me didn't know what they were doing!
