Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 4 weeks)
I applied to BD through my school's on campus recruiting. I was selected for a first round interview on campus, which was a 45 minute 1 on 1 with a BD manager (not HR). My interviewer was very nice and mostly wanted to know why BD, why the medical device industry, why marketing, etc. I got the sense that he was really trying to figure out if I would be a good fit for the company, and for one of the specific roles they had open. He asked me if I had a preference for one of their 3 business practices, or geographical location. There were also a few behavioral questions (tell me about a time when...) I didn't get any marketing case questions, but some of my classmates also applied for marketing positions at BD and said they got marketing case questions.
About a week or two later, I was notified via email that I made it through to second round interviews at the BD headquarters in Franklin Lakes, NJ. At this point I was assigned specific roles on specific projects that I would be interviewing for. On the interview day, I had a one hour interview for each role that I was assigned as a potential candidate. One interviewer seemed like he was selling the project to me more than asking me questions. The questions he asked were just about my experience and why BD, why this industry, etc. Other interviews had more questions directed towards me, but they were mostly behavioral. There were no surprising questions in any of my interviews. Although I will say, they both ended a little early, so be prepared with questions for your interviewer that show your interest in the company.
I heard back about a week and a half later with an offer, but ultimately decided not to accept.

Reason for Declining
The culture at BD didn't seem like a good fit for me. Over the course of the application process, I had the chance to talk to about a dozen BD employees, and the consistent pattern I noticed was that everyone seemed to have made huge sacrifices in their personal/family life. One person lived in an entirely city from her family and young children, another relocated almost every year he had been with BD, including internationally. It seemed like you couldn't move up in the organization without frequent travel and relocation. I was looking for a more family friendly work culture with work life balance and stability. I also wasn't extremely passionate about the medical devices industry, so the work wasn't worth the sacrifice for me.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took 2 months)
Learned about the opportunity through a recruiter. After initial interview with the recruiter, my resume was forwarded to the company HR manager. I had round of phone interviews with a HR manager and three senior level managers. Later I was invited to the Head Quarters for an on-site interview. It consisted of eight 1-on-1 interviews from 9 AM - 4 PM. The company has a good work culture. People seem to have decent work-life balance.
