Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 days)
First round was on campus with an audit manager. Typical behavioral interview with questions such as tell me about yourself, and walking through the resume. Second round consisted of dinner with some associates and then a superday at the office the next day. Had 3 interviews with associates, manager, and partner. Partner interview is the most important and I didn't do too well, I probably got a little too nervous.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Spokane, WA (took 3 weeks)
The interview was nothing terribly difficult. I had already talked to the manager who I interviewed with on campus several times, and it was overall very relaxed. Once in the office, I interviewed with two managers and one partner. It ended up being more of a "what do you want to know about BDO" session with the managers, and the partner and I ended up talking about sports the entire time.

Negotiation Details
The only negative piece of the interview. Originally they said they were willing to negotiate salary, but when I tried, they said they had one set rate for the area and would not be able to budge on it.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 5 months)
I was contacted by a recruiter in October of 2010 to interview for an associate audit position in the Midwest. She was very pleasant and it lasted about an hour. The recruiter told me she would get back to me within the week after she contacted the managers at the local offices. I never heard back even though I left a voicemail and an email. I naturally assumed I was rejected.
A month later the same recruiter called back and interviewed me again, asking me the exact same questions. It was apparent she had no idea who I was. I was really interested in the position so I didn't say anything. She gave me the same spiel about getting back to me in a week; once again I didn't hear back from her.
I got a call today (January 2011) from the same recruiter. It turns out my resume ended up passed along getting to an audit manager who was working at a client’s site from an associate of mine. Once again she had no idea who I was even though my resume is fairly unique in the fact of where I am living (bizarre state that no one comes from and how quickly I earned my CPA after graduating college). The recruiter started asking me the same questions but this time I stopped her. I informed her that this was our third identical conversation and made a comment towards her keeping some kind of record or notes on the individuals she interviews. I also promptly let her know that I was no longer interested in BDO due, in most part, to her complete lack of professionalism.

Reason for Declining
I want a job as a public accoutant and am ok with being treated like garbage, but I would at least like to work for a firm that would hide how poorly they would treat me until after I was hired.

Interviewed May 2010 (took 3 weeks)
My first interview was over the phone. They simply asked me to give them details concerning my past work experiences. I was referred to a local office and I went in for an office interview. I interviewed with one senior manager, and two partners. The people were very down to earth, and the office was located downtown. The work culture seems to be very team oriented and they seem to be very conscientious about their work.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
Be very prepared, my interviewer was very serious. Question after question, I don't know how many questions but it was a bit nervous. Be prepare to talk about why you want this and how would you do well in it. She's basically concerned about if you really WANT it or not.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took a day)
It was an easy transition from student to full time associate. I had previously interned with them for a summer and a few months into the school semester. When I was about done with the internship, they had extended an offer for the position of an full time audit position. No real interview required.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Ann Arbor, MI (took a day)
The majority of my interactions with the recruiters on campus have not been positive. The firm did not put any effort into getting to know students through pre-nights, and were very unaccommodating when students inquired about locations that were not their target offices for the school.
My 1:1 interview was very lackluster, it lasted only about 25 minutes and there were only about 3 questions asked in the first 10 minutes before I was asked if I had any questions about the firm. This was most likely an isolated incident based on the recruiter, but the experience that I have had with the firm has been the worst of any accounting firm that I have been in contact with.
