Interviewed May 2011 in Brisbane (Australia) (took 4 months)
After the initial screening I was invited to do online numerical and reasoning tests. After that I was phoned by a Petroleum Engineer and he asked me technical questions regarding Petroleum Engineering. After that I was flown to Brisbane (from Perth) and participated in a 2 day assessment. This consisted of a technical interview by a panel of two, standard/irrelevant assessment centre activities and a one on one 'fit' interview.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) (took 2 days)
The company responsible for part of the recruitment process is CONTEC, and it sounded like an outsourced position to work for BG Group-Bolivia, but the other company was be responsible to pass the invoice...sort of like an external consulting position.
Day 1: Phase 1: Psychometric test which lasted from 8.30 till about 11.00 am. Phase 2:Interview with CONTECT, the organisation responsible to send the best people for a job interview. They said that suitable candidates only go for a job interview.
Day 2: 3 days later: I got a call at 6pm, and I was told I was successful to go into a job interview with BG-Bolivia. I was meant to be at the BG premises at 15.00.
Day 3: on the 4th day, I arrived 5 minutes earlier and was the first to go for the interview.
They were very courteous and professional. The questions were quite standard for BG. They had like a proper questionnaire. 2 people interviewed me: The one with the power to hire, and a person responsible for the HR department. The premises were quite comfortable, and the guy responsible to make the final decision explained me about the job itself at the beginning of the interview.
BTW, all the interview process was in Spanish so, am translating it all!

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Reading, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 weeks)
The company atmosphere was perfect, every body so courteous and polite. My interview took about 75 minutes starting with a brief of the job itself and then went on with competency based questions. I was told that my experience of working on multi projects was not enough to get the job. I wish I asked more question about the job to make my mind more focused on WHAT IS MY CONTRIBUTION TO THAT PARTICULAR ROLE. Perhaps I could demonstrate my experience better. I regret it!

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Reading, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Two interviewers, one representative from HR and one from the function to which I was applying is the standard for BG. Questions are fairly standard, with a couple of cliche questions from HR at the end to wrap things up

Interviewed May 2008 (took 6 weeks)
BG is a British Company, they are very courteous, professional. I took a battery of tests that were aimed at matching candidates with the company's culture and management style. I interviewed both here in the US, and in the UK.
Interviews were of normal length, about an hour, always pleasant. I also talked with peers and future subordinates which was unusual for a US company. Everyone was very courteous, even though they were very busy.
