Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 4 months)
I applied online during the fall recruiting season and received an email a few months later asking if I was still interested in a full-time position. They did an initial phone screen which consisted of behavioral questions then immediately following I was invited to a site interview. The site interview was a two day event at a upscale hotel, dinner venue, and BP campus. The first day was a meet and greet/dinner with other perspective candidates from all disciplines and current employees coupled with presentations from VP and dinner. The second day was a site tour and technical interviews. They also had more presenters and speakers throughout the day which helped you learn more about the culture of the company. The interviews were technical (2-1 hour interviews) and questions were geared towards your background. Everyone was very friendly including interviewers. The technical interview was tough, but (according to current employees and from my experience) they are more concerned with your thought process rather than getting the correct answer.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took 3 months)
I applied through my university website, and got a call for a campus interview. It was a technical skills interview 1:1. After a month I got a call for a site visit, where I would have another 1:1 technical skills interview and a personality test interview and a tour of the campus. Less than a week later they made an offer over the phone I could not refuse, monetarily speaking. Although, I had to wait 9 months to start. Great place to work at though.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Houston, TX (took 2 days)
Invited for an on-campus interview after initial resume screening. On-campus interview was a 1:1 interview consisting of a personality portion and a technical portion. Neither was too hard and were very casual. Was invited for an on-site interview in Houston after 2 weeks waiting. On-site interview was the same personality/technical interview except it was 2:1 and a different set of interviewers conducted each portion. Questions were a little more challenging and they asked a lot about preferences in job and location. After the interview, there was a campus tour.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Houston, TX (took a day)
Great 1 on 1 interview with HR professional
This was followed by a technical test, the engineer providing the technical test was extremely condescending, and not at all helpful. I think BP would be a great company to work for, great training program for graduates, but there are definitely a few people who are not representing the team well.

Interviewed May 2009 (took 3 months)
Applied online and then received a call scheduling a phone interview. Completed the phone interview (20 minutes) very simple, just what are your interests/experiences not hard at all. Received request for face to face interview and was flown out to Texas City for on-site interview. Day long event included several powerpoint presentations about BP benefits and culture, etc. Then a plant tour followed by a 45 minute personal interview and a 45 minute technical interview. The personal interview was exactly what you would expect with a strong focus on experiences within a team setting. Questions about a team meeting adversity, what did you do, a team succeeding what role did you play, etc. Technical interview was weird my question was you are in charge of building a pipeline from the ocean to a refinery 200 miles away and there is a mountain range in the way, what issues are involved here? Then you just talk them through the project and they observe your thought process and what issues you worry about and how you address them.
