Interviewed Mar 2012 in New York, NY (took 4+ weeks)
I was contacted by email stating that I made it to the next step of the hiring process. The next step was an assessment part which took about an hour asking me personality questions. After about a week I received another email from a recruiter explaining I made it to the next round and needed to take a coaching simulation . After passing the coaching simulation which are video senerios where you coach your employees in different situations. I did a phone interview with the recruiter who asks you about your background and asks you situational questions. After completing that I had a 1:1 with my branch manager.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 7 months)
The interview process was standard but very long and drawn out. In the midst of the process Bank of America reorganized and adjusted the number of applicants they would be accepting from 10 to 1 but did not inform applicants. I found out from an internal resource. In general, the experience was fairly standard but very drawn out.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 6 weeks)
Had a phone interview with the recruiter, who then set me up on a 1:1 with the woman who would be my branch manager. That interview went very well, I felt, and we seemed to have great rapport with each other. Got another call that the branch manager really liked me and they set me up for a face to face with the regional manager. That started very well, but then the customer service manager came in and suddenly I was interviewing with 2 people. They sat on opposite sides of me, and I had to keep turning my head to try and engage both of them. I felt like the customer service manager wasn't happy with some of my answers. They told me they would be making a decision in about a week. A week later got a call from the recruiter, she said they really really liked me, but they did have more interviews, but I was on their list of final candidates. That was 6 weeks ago and I have heard nothing since then. 2 weeks ago I saw online the branch manager position listed as open at the branch they wanted to put me at...have no idea what happened, but evidently the woman I initially interviewed with is no longer at that branch. Awesome. The lack of communication is frustrating, and it cracks me up that I am still getting emails from the Internet recruiter about open branch manager positions.

The process is pretty good, start in the internet with 2 or 3 test. Then is a phone interview with HR, then personal interview with your potential boss and his boss.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 1 week)
Initial correspondence was done through email followed by numerous phone conversations with the recruiter. The recruiter is not stationed at the location you are interviewing for. The recruiter then puts you in touch with the person that you will be interviewing with. Lower level interviews are usual with the manager and possibly the assistant manager. Higher positions may include the manager as well as the market manager. Any negotiations and offers are done through the recruiter and not the manager.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I would tell anyone trying to cross from card services to consumer banking, just don't give up. It was so difficult for me to break through the barrier. I had to sell my strengths and marketability like I have never had to before. Even though my PA speak volume, the feedback that i kept receiving was the same, "the market hired someone who had the experience." Perseverance and having a few contacts at this point in the game definitely helped me.
