I interviewed through an employee referral - interviewed at Bank of America.

    Interview Details

The process took a very long time; about 2 months if I remember correctly. I had to take a long "test" online. There was the usual personality test, then situational questions. Then I had to go to a banking center and do a role play scenario over the phone for about 20 minutes. This involved a coaching situation with a long term successful employee with a declining performance. After that I had to interview with the Regional Manager. This involved the usual behavioral interview questions. The final step was a group interview with the two Market Managers and the Regional Manager

I interviewed online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Bank of America in June 2011.

    Interview Details

Applied online, contacted by a recruiter for a warm introduction and quick screening (make sure that you are actually qualified for this type of leadership position), online testing regarding behavioral decision making process and leadership style, two separate interviews with district and area management. Job offer was given approximately 3 weeks after initial application and screening and approximately 5 days after second interview.

    Interview Questions
    • Multiple questions regarding specifics of previous sales management successes and failures. Most of the interview was not as scripted as I expected. Certainly a difficult interview, but I was prepared and did not struggle. If you cannot talk about your strengths, weaknesses, and overall results with confidence, you will struggle.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Rather than a salary being offered I was asked, "What would it take to bring you here? Please be realistic." This completely threw me off as the first person to give a number usually loses in negotiation! Be prepared. Start high.
