Interview Details – This is probably the MOST unprofessional company I've ever applied to. Granted, I don't have much interviewing experience, as I was with the same company right out of college for many, many years. So, I've only had one "grown up" job. I have just recently started my job search as I just left my old job to relocate. All the places I've applied to have been prompt with letting me know what my next steps are. Right now, due to the government shut down, most of them have told me they're still waiting to run my background check as those are, naturally, delayed. So, I respect that and I appreciate them letting me know what the hold up is. Bank of America, however, scheduled a phone interview for me....and NEVER CALLED. So, they rescheduled. Guess what? They NEVER CALLED the day of the rescheduled phone interview, either! I never even got the CHANCE to interview, but more importantly, this company acted ENTIRELY unprofessional by NEGLECTING a potential employee and WASTING my time. I'm highly qualified, more so than a LOT of people I know that are employed there, I have a squeaky clean work history and background check, and impeccable references. So, if they were going to choose not to hire me, it would have been nice if I had lost the opportunity due to FAILING an interview....rather than NOT getting the promised interview at all. Unbelievable that companies conduct themselves in this manner, especially when it would take NO time for them to send an e-mail letting me know they won't be calling, instead of letting me sit by the phone all day long.
