Interviewed Jul 2010 in Plano, TX (took 2 weeks)
First it is a phone interview with the recruiter, if you pass that stage you will interview with the hiring manager or managers. The hiring managers wont talk about compensation they will leave that up to the recruiter. The hiring managers have the power to make the pay what they would like.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 1+ week)
Got interview through a recruiter. Srted with phone interview. Once past this I went in for a day of Interviews. Must have seen about 10 people. Some interviews were 1:1 and others 2:1 but never more then that. Met traders, people from Sales team and Origination teams and also head of the floor (1:1)
Interviews were combination of experience and fit. There was the odd technical and brain teaser but got the feeling that it very much depends on the type of interviewer you get and there is no set type of interview. So if you get a guy who likes brain teasers then you will get a few of those and so on
There was repetition which adds to the feeling that the whole process is not discussed pre hand.
Overall a tiring experience but not overly tenchical

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 3 weeks)
APPLICATION - I applied online through a job site like simplyhired.com and was contacted very quickly, within 3 days, by a third party recruiter. She was very nice and we set up a 5 minutte screening interview just to ensure I was qualified and interested. "why are you applying", "what are your skills" etc.
INTERVIEWS - everything was set up by the recruiter, I never had direct contact with the company. There were two rounds of phone interviews with two people on each call - one who is my manager and one who is a peer asking more technical questions. The phone portion was "cookie cutter" with the typical questions you might find on any interview site. The two phoners were approximately 5 days apart.
I was invited for an in-person 1 on 1 with my manager who failed to show up. They said it was car trouble but now that I know him I am sure he forgot. One of his peers decided that he'd meet with me so my trip wasn't wasted. He clearly wasnt prepared to meet with me to no fault of his own. I left frustrated but the interview was relatively easy, typical "tell me about a time" questions.
The last interview was a 1 on 1 with my manager's boss who was very nice but very serious. That was more of a "here's what we do here, tell me why you should be hired" lasting about 10 minutes and then we just casually talked about the job for another 15.
Was offered the job a few days later and I accepted. One of the least challenging interview processes I have been through. It was a very quick process but I was kind of frustrated at the lack of effort by the interviewers. It's not much fun to get the "standard" questions for a combined few hours.
There was no drug test, can't guarantee that in the future.
The offer was handled by the recruiter.

It was a very quick process. I had a phone interview then was asked to come downtown the next day for a group interview. There we did some role playing and shared previous job experiences. Then I had a one on one interview with the manager. He asked basic questions about my resume and asked why i was good for the job. And about 1 week later I had the job
