Interviewed Oct 2010 in Lafayette, CA (took 1 week)
I applied for the job online but also went to the branch that was hiring and handed them a copy of my resume because I felt it was better to have a face to the name. I did several phone interviews with the recruiter and then finally had an interview with the brach manager.

Interviewed Aug 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 4 weeks)
The hiring process at B of A was quite long. There were about 4 separate 1 hour telephone interviews before they decided to fly me to Charlotte for an all day in person interview with about 5-6 different people. All separate, some outside in the hot humid North Carolina weather! All in all it turned out OK as I got the job but they don't hire (at least not at the VP level) very quickly.

Interviewed May 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 6+ weeks)
Was contacted by Bank of America directly for a position they had and went through the process. It was laborious and took over 6 weeks. Several phone interviews and 3 1:1 - traditional type interviews. Had a required one from the executive who was late; cancelled twice and then didn't get my name right.
The background check was a nightmare. Although it ended up nothing on it, HR lost my paperwork sent to the FBI and no one would follow-up because of confidentiality. I had actually started my job search again.
Ended up with the position based on the remote work allowed but regret it now. The problems with the interview process has continued into the job itself.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took 1+ week)
>I applied for the Sales and Specialist Position online and was prompted to do a skill and personality test.
>recruiter at the head quarters called me and scheduled me for a phone interview with the local recruiter.
>passed the phone interview and was invited to a 1:1 interview with the branch manager
>2 days after the interview I was called by another recruiter stating that they are doing the employment verification, background check i assume. he stated that I would get a call from the recruiter the next day or two.
> i never get the call. It has been a 8 days since my interview.
Preparation tips:
A lot of questions stated on this website DID came up. I was super prepared and the interviewers were a pleasure to deal with. My 1:1 interview lasted 50 minutes and i walked out confident that I got the job. however, it seems like there were someone who did even better.I believe that all candidates chosen have similar qualifications. 1:1 is where your personality really counts. good luck on your interview, certainly be yourself.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
some basic info about my resume. basic behavioral questions. As a student, there are not much to say but some challenging school experience helps. I was tested for 10key entry speed and some basic math. It was fairly easy. The interviewer is a supervisor.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 weeks)
I applied online at the careers section of the website. I was contacted for a short phone interview with a recruiter who then invited me for a group interview. There were about 14 people total. The recruiter at the interview asked everyone to mention each prior job they've held and some of the responsibilities they had there. Then she asked us all to talk about a time that we went above and beyond while providing great service: what we did, what the outcome was, etc. I was called back the next day and given the chance to have a 1:1 interview with the branch manager. He asked me to share my background information, he also asked me why I wanted to work at B of A. All in all, it was pretty basic.

Interviewed Feb 2008 in San Francisco, CA (took 3 weeks)
Started with a phone interview asking general questions about my willingness to travel and experience in teaching. The actual interview was set up like a classroom and you have to teach a class on current bank policies and initiatives. It was a group of 4 women and they all were portraying different kinds of students you would have. There was a quiet one, a loud one, a "know-it-all", and a rude disruptive one. I even had to role play with some of the "students" as they asked me difficult questions that I would encounter in a training classroom. 2 of the women were nice, 2 were very serious and I felt as if they were critiquing my every move.
They were looking for my:
1. Knowledge of the bank and the business.
2. Your outgoingness and attention to detail.
3. The way I responded to inquiries and how I handled somewhat difficult and uncomfortable situations.
