Application Details

The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Bank of England in October 2010.

Interview Details

Sat in a room in a circle - one small round table in the middle, interviewers (bank seniors) on sofas with CV and other notes in hand.

Was asked questions on why you want the job, why BoE etc, along with other competency based q's such as how I'd approach a difficult problem

Also discussion on prior work experience, what I enjoy from that, what I've learnt from doing the work

Does get to some fairly technical issues, ie how the bank interacts with the markets

Overall, very pleasant experience - interviewers not trying to catch you out
