Interviewed Mar 2012 in Palo Alto, CA (took a day)
Attended hiring mixer thanks to a linked-in's connection post.
Recruiter and team leader liked me at the mixer and scheduled interview.
Met with the most prominent members of the team 1:1, and got references / resume / portfolio checked by all members. (Bring laptop with portfolio examples).
Was offered a position and a chance to negotiate terms.

Negotiation Details
Be honest and shoot for what you deserve, no more, no less. The recruiters are very knowledgeable and double-check all you claim. They are also generous to attract good talent.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Skills Test.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
The hiring process was pretty smooth. Started with a phone interview, then an onsite interview. At first, they didn't sound like they were sold on my candidacy so I was put on the back burner for about a week or so. Then a brand new hiring initiative came along and they called me back.
