I applied in-person. The process took a weekinterviewed at Bath & Body Works in November 2014.

    Interview Details

I filled out an application in person and got a call back about a week later asking to come in for an interview. The interview was 1 on 1 and didn't have any hard questions. When I got to the store the associate told me to pick out my favorite product because I would be using it for the interview. The only difficult part was that you had to role play and sell the product to the manager that was interviewing you. It wasn't difficult but it was kind of awkward. At the end of the interview the manager told me that they would be making decisions by Friday and if I didn't get a call back that means they picked somebody else. Friday came and past so I thought I didn't get the job, but then Saturday morning came and I got a call back saying I was hired

I saw the job posting on indeed, sent my resume in, and received a phonecall 4 days later to set up an interview for the next day. The hiring process was basically the manager putting my information in the computer while asking me why I wanted to work there and what my favorite products were. I was expecting a lot more.

I filled out an application and turned it into a manager in the store. She looked it over quickly and scheduled me for a group interview the very next day. Super exciting! Unfortunately, something came up and I was not able to attend. I called two weeks later asking if they were still hiring, and they said yes. The manager asked if I could come in the next day at 3 for another group interview, and to bring another application to her. I came the next day with the application. It was supposed to be me and another girl, but she didn't show up so it ended up being a one on one! She had me pick an item from the sales floor and we went to the back. We started by talking about ourselves a little bit. She then asked me to "sell" the item I had chosen. After that, it was basic interview questions. The interview ran about 30 minutes. She was super super sweet and very funny, which made the entire experience very relaxed! She explained to me that she never does offers at the interviews usually because there are groups, but because it was only me she hired me on the spot and scheduled me for orientation the next day!

They were holding a Hiring Event for about 2 hours one day so I printed off an application, filled it out and showed up. I was in there for about 5 minutes total when they offered me the job. That would be great except I don't get any hours and will not be making any extra money through Christmas (that's why people take seasonal jobs, right?). I've worked only 4 hours total in almost a month and am only scheduled for a 3 hour shift next week...I didn't even get scheduled the week of Thanksgiving! Don't work here in the hopes of making money...perfect job for the teenager that doesn't want to work but their parents want them to get a job. You'll have a job but never get scheduled there

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing...interview was easy, they seemed to hire everyone that walked through the door which would explain why I'm not working any hours.   View Answer
    Negotiation Details
Non existent...they offer you minimum wage but it really is only worth it if you work over 35 hours a week. If you get a 3 or 4 hour shift and that's all you get for the week...just quit. It's cheaper to save the gas money because that's really about all you'll make

I went in on a saturday to pick up an application and returned it on Sunday. Immediately was asked on the spot to come in the following day for an interview. I show up on Monday and had a group interview with 2 other people with the store manager in the food court. Very informal and casual. We all talked and got to know one another, it hardly felt like an interview. I was hired on the spot with the 2 other interviewees and filled out my paperwork the following day. There was no discussion on pay, we were all paid minimum wage (8.25/hr) even though I had 2 years experience.

The interviewing process was fairly easy as they were desperate to add on a few people to their team. I actually knew the person interviewing me so it wasn't really an interview persay to me but for the others hired it was basically questions like
" How are your customer serivce skills?"
"If you saw someone shoplifting, what would you do?"

I came in to the store and picked up an application. I filled it out at home and brought it back to the store the next day. I was contacted the following week about having an interview. I schedule my interview for that same week and it was supposed to be a group interview. I showed up a few minutes early and the other girl never showed up. This took some pressure off me- I much rather be interviewed alone than in a group setting. The manager asked me a few questions about my previous work history- mostly about customer service. She asked me what my favorite product was and I had to roll play like I was selling it to a customer. Because my favorite item was an online only product, I had to recommend an item that was similar in the store to get the "sale". I was offered the job the next day and I accepted.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Bath & Body Works.

    Interview Details

The hiring process was very short. I originally applied to be a seasonal sales associate, but ended up staying on after the holidays were over. They needed help right away, plus I knew the store manager at the time, so I want to say I applied and interviewed all within a day or two. Obviously, I was not interviewed by the store manager because of our familiarity. I instead interviewed with the assistant manager. The interview was very short, very simple. I don't remember specific questions, but I do recall discussing my past customer service experience. This was obviously a plus. I ultimately accepted the offered position and stayed on for about 3 years, was promoted once, and worked in a few different stores (though not at once).

    Interview Questions
    • The company, and all of its related brands, has a specific policy regarding theft. I was not prepared to give an answer that complied with their policies. It ended up fine though - you have to learn the policies and how to deal with them anyway.   Answer Question
