Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I went into the store in person to ask for an application for a seasonal position. The supervisor on duty was really nice and we chatted a bit about my previous retail experience and what they were looking for. I could tell that it seemed like a positive atmosphere to work in and felt like I would fit in. I filled out the application and brought it back right away, and was called the next day to get into a group interview they were doing within a few more days. The interview itself was laid back and easy. I was with two other prospective employees and the store manager, who was very friendly. I felt at ease during the interview -- it was more like talking and getting to know one another than an actual interview. She asked us questions about ourselves in general, why we wanted to work for Bath & Body Works, and examples of both good and bad customer service we had received in the past. We also had to choose one product from the store and explain what we liked about it. Within about a week and a half I was called with an offer and I accepted.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Mays Landing, NJ (took 3 days)
There was a group interview with at least 6 people. We all went around the room discussing our desire to work, background, communication skills, and presenting a random product.
We sat in folding chairs in the back room and not many people were professionally dressed.
The employees wore their red aprons and black and white attire.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
I took my paper application to my local BBW store to see about holiday help. One of the managers there asked me a few sales/ customer service interview type questions on the spot. She then scheduled me for a group interview. On group interview day, we (4 candidates) were told to browse the store to see the new merchandise, then we all went to the food court with one of the managers (who never introduced herself.) None of the questions were very difficult at all. It was not a cut throat type of interview, but a "go around the table" type. They say it takes about a week for them to check references and such before they will make a decision. It has been one week, so I called and one of the managers abruptly said, "It wasn't me, but one of the other managers, and they will actually call you." Still waiting, but putting out other applications at other places as well.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Las Vegas, NV (took a day)
it was a group interview of about 6 people. The store manager was very friendly, asked simple questions and there wasn't a lot of pressure to say the right thing. Asked why we wanted to work there...etc. We also had to pick our favorite product and explain why we liked it. No hands massages like I've read on here before. General kiss-a$$ing ensued like every interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 5 days)
I dropped off a paper application and got a call for an interview about 2 days later. My interview was in 2 days. I was to bring a product off of the shelf to the interview. The interviewer was very nice, and friendly and made me feel comfortable. It was a group interview and each of us was given time to answer each question. The interviewer asked why we had chosen the product we had, why we wanted to work for the company, and what exceptional customer service means to us. I thought the interview went very well, but i was guaranteed notification within a week and I have not received a call. It's been almost 2 weeks.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Garland, TX (took 2 weeks)
I went to the store and filled my application out there. A few days later I was called to come in for an interview. I assumed it would be a 1 on 1 interview, but I had to interview with 5 other women. We were asked to pick out any item in the store and give a sales pitch on the item. We were then asked a series of questions that consisted on how we would handle certain situations that may occur while working in the store. We were also asked how we handled a negative situation at previous job. The lady that interviewed us was very nice and personable.

Negotiation Details
You are not able to negotiate anything during the interview. My advice would be to prepare your answers before the interview and be one of the first to answer the questions. Do not seem shy, but do not be too aggressive. You should dress nice, but not over the top.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 6 days)
I went in and was able to turn in my application to the store manager who offered me an interview for that afternoon. I was not told that it was a group interview. I arrived back at the store and was told to choose a product that I enjoyed and hold on to it for the interview. We were taken into the back room and asked to sit on chairs and ladders (there were 7 of us). The two managers asked questions in which we answered freely, we weren't asked to go in a specific order to answer each question. It was a very relaxed interview with lots of laughing and jokes. We then had to describe the product that we chose and explain why we liked it. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Orlando, FL (took a day)
Walked in to ask if they were hiring and they said they were as long as I was available for the upcoming holidays. I was, so I came back a few days later and turned in my completed application. It took 2 weeks and 2 days to receive a call from them asking me to come in for an interview. The day of the interview, I walked to the register and told them I was there for an interview and they told me to go find my favorite product in the store. I didn't know this beforehand but the interview was a group interview with 4 people including myself. Once everyone arrived we were taken into the back stocking room with our product and sat in four chairs in front of the interviewer. We were asked questions about our availability and then asked additional questions about handling customers and selling products. Our last question was to use the product we choose before the interview began, and try to sell it to the group. Once the interview was over we were told that we will find out if we got the job in 1 and a half weeks once they called and talked with our references. Its been 1 week today since the interview and I haven't received a call back so far.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 1 week)
Printed out an application online and brought it into the store. The manager happened to be there when I brought it in so I introduced myself and asked if they were hiring. The manager told me they were and they would contact me the next week for an interview.
I got a call about a week later to come in for an interview the following week. I was told over the phone it would be a group interview, but when I got there it was just the manager and myself. I wore a blazer with a blouse under it and a matching skirt with low heels. I took my nose ring out, which was a good thing since I was informed they do not allow facial piercings.
I was instructed to pick out my favorite product and then went to the back stockroom area for the interview. The hiring manager was extremely nice and put me at ease. The questions were basic, mainly about past customer service experiences and how you would handle different customer situations. I also had to "sell" the product I had picked earlier. Make sure to stress customer service and how you are a "people person." They are looking for you to be very outgoing and customer oriented. The interview took about 30 minutes overall.
