Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 3 days)
I walked in one day to hand in a paper app that I filled out the weekend before, it was Sunday. I handed it to the associate behind the counter. She asked me my name and set me up for an interview on Tuesday. I was so excited and agreed. I arrived at the interview on Tuesday 10 minutes early and waited around the store for the manager. I was interviewed, it was pretty easy I thought everything was going great. She told me I would get a call back within the weeek. I didn't. So I continued to call back every friday for the next month. Eveytime I called I got the same answer "we are still trying to get in contact with your references".

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
The interview was a group interview with the manager face to face. I did not feel intimidated or pressured at all during the interview. The manager was more interested in what kind of people we were like. They found out our strong points and suggested positions within the store where we could use them in. They were very informative in telling us what to expect through the hiring process and what the store operations are like.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Birmingham, AL (took 1 week)
It all started when I saw that they were hiring through an email. I printed out the application and took it to the store. Thankfully, the co-manager was there and she helped me fill in parts I didn't understand and gave me a basic idea of what the job would require and how the interview would go. I was already uneasy because this was my first time applying to a job. Being a full time college student, I've never been employed. Anyway, she gave me some positive feedback and said she wold call me. She called the next day and scheduled an interview for a few days later. The interview was normal I guess, but since I was so nervous it was vey difficult for me. The co manager said she would be there but she actually wasn't and I also had to have to interview with another person who applied for the job. When it all came down to it, they hired the other girl I assume because she had retail experience when I did not. They said they'd call me in a week even if I didn't get the job but they never did, which was disappointing. All in all, I still really want to work there because of the great environment but after this experience, it's left me a little scarred. I thought they hired based on personality and not on experience and I believe that the other girl was really bland, to say the least.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I went into the store in person to ask for an application for a seasonal position. The supervisor on duty was really nice and we chatted a bit about my previous retail experience and what they were looking for. I could tell that it seemed like a positive atmosphere to work in and felt like I would fit in. I filled out the application and brought it back right away, and was called the next day to get into a group interview they were doing within a few more days. The interview itself was laid back and easy. I was with two other prospective employees and the store manager, who was very friendly. I felt at ease during the interview -- it was more like talking and getting to know one another than an actual interview. She asked us questions about ourselves in general, why we wanted to work for Bath & Body Works, and examples of both good and bad customer service we had received in the past. We also had to choose one product from the store and explain what we liked about it. Within about a week and a half I was called with an offer and I accepted.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Mays Landing, NJ (took 3 days)
There was a group interview with at least 6 people. We all went around the room discussing our desire to work, background, communication skills, and presenting a random product.
We sat in folding chairs in the back room and not many people were professionally dressed.
The employees wore their red aprons and black and white attire.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
I took my paper application to my local BBW store to see about holiday help. One of the managers there asked me a few sales/ customer service interview type questions on the spot. She then scheduled me for a group interview. On group interview day, we (4 candidates) were told to browse the store to see the new merchandise, then we all went to the food court with one of the managers (who never introduced herself.) None of the questions were very difficult at all. It was not a cut throat type of interview, but a "go around the table" type. They say it takes about a week for them to check references and such before they will make a decision. It has been one week, so I called and one of the managers abruptly said, "It wasn't me, but one of the other managers, and they will actually call you." Still waiting, but putting out other applications at other places as well.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Las Vegas, NV (took a day)
it was a group interview of about 6 people. The store manager was very friendly, asked simple questions and there wasn't a lot of pressure to say the right thing. Asked why we wanted to work there...etc. We also had to pick our favorite product and explain why we liked it. No hands massages like I've read on here before. General kiss-a$$ing ensued like every interview.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Garland, TX (took 2 weeks)
I went to the store and filled my application out there. A few days later I was called to come in for an interview. I assumed it would be a 1 on 1 interview, but I had to interview with 5 other women. We were asked to pick out any item in the store and give a sales pitch on the item. We were then asked a series of questions that consisted on how we would handle certain situations that may occur while working in the store. We were also asked how we handled a negative situation at previous job. The lady that interviewed us was very nice and personable.

You are not able to negotiate anything during the interview. My advice would be to prepare your answers before the interview and be one of the first to answer the questions. Do not seem shy, but do not be too aggressive. You should dress nice, but not over the top.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 6 days)
I went in and was able to turn in my application to the store manager who offered me an interview for that afternoon. I was not told that it was a group interview. I arrived back at the store and was told to choose a product that I enjoyed and hold on to it for the interview. We were taken into the back room and asked to sit on chairs and ladders (there were 7 of us). The two managers asked questions in which we answered freely, we weren't asked to go in a specific order to answer each question. It was a very relaxed interview with lots of laughing and jokes. We then had to describe the product that we chose and explain why we liked it. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
