Interviewed Aug 2011 in Orlando, FL (took a day)
I worked at bath and body works for a couple weeks last year as a seasonal employee.
I came back to the store in August to buy something and manager recognized me and asked me if I wanted to apply for a sales lead for a new store they were offering. I accepted and she gave me an interview first thing the next day. She asked me basic questions like "How could you add on to products to the customer's purchase" and "How would you give great customer service" I was also asked if I have done floor sets before, which I have and if I have been in charge of floor sets before which I haven't since we had a visual manager that does that at my other job. When I called to check I wasn't given the job because I didn't have enough leadership retail experience even though the interview felt more like a regular sales associate interview...

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took 5 days)
After I applied online, I received a call from the DM. We spoke twice on the phone - discussed my experience, what I'm looking for, she explained the history and philosophy of Bath & Body Works/Limited Brands. A few days after our call, I interviewed with the SM.
The store was busy and well staffed, very clean and organized. The associates were friendly and helpful.
I met with the SM for about 30 minutes. She was very nice and asked basic questions about customer service, trouble shooting, product knowledge and flexibility.

Reason for Declining
The shifts are very minimal only 3-5 hours per day/3-5 days a week. The salary seemed a bit low for a Sales Lead position too, no benefits offered.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Sep 2008 (took 2 days)
I was an associate who interviewed for the Sales Lead position. Questions consist of customer's issue scenarios as well as how would you coach an associate in these difference scenario. For example, "You see that your associate is helping a customer find a certain product. Every fragrances she was shown she did not like and so the customers got really angry and left the store. How would you approach the associate and how would you coach her?"
