Phone screening - early March
Personality testing online - took 2.5 hours
Panel Interview in late April - Interview schedule listed three people, only two showed up 15 mins late (didn't apologize for being late) and didn't mention the third person that was suppose to join. The two interviewees shook my hand, told me their names, and launched into the interview without explaining the position or what they were looking for. They never spoke about the position until I asked at the end of the interview.
During the interview it felt like a waste of time. I knew I didn't want the position simply because of the culture betrayed during the interview and the rude approach in conducting the interview.

I first had an on campus interview. It was a basic behaviorial interview, nothing tricky. I then took an online skills test, as well as a personality assessment. I have yet to hear back, and I took the test three weeks ago. I don't know what to expect going forward.

The interview was very intricate. I first was interviewed by the staffing agency to assure I was a good fit. I was then offered a 2nd interview with the Hiring Manager. After that second interview my references were contacted. Finally a 3rd interview consists of 4 interviews in one individually where I met with the remaining staff I would support as well as the Executive Assistant above me. It was a very engaging experience, very detailed questions were asked. However they described their work environment as "cold" and "results-oriented" and I believe may have thought I was too "social" for the environment they are accustomed to.

Interviewer was new to company and could not tell me about the position I was interviewing for or much about company. Interviewer gave impression she did not care and did not seem interested in the company herself. I left the interview with no intention of ever working there.
Be prepared to talk about why you love Belden and would like to work there. Know their products and what's sets them apart from others.

Interviewer was from HR, not engineering. Didn't give the impression they wanted to be there or hear what I had to say. Not really their fault, they were a recent hire, the company contacted me for an interview but wasn't hiring for a specific position. Not sure why the company sent interviewers there or why they choose to interview me.

Phone interviews with 2 HR gatekeepers before speaking with the hiring manager. The first HR gatekeeper walks through resume making sure there is nothing suspicious. This is followed by a Personality
and an Intelligence (think SAT/GRE type quantitative/analytical/verbal questions) test where speed is of essence - I could only get through half the questions but was told 'Wow' (so don't try to guess the answers quickly - do as many as you can but get them right). The 2nd HR phone screen is more psychological and behavioral. All this is a complete waste of time if you do not have experience in their industry which you will be only told when you speak to the hiring manager.

I got this interview through a career fair at school. The first part of the process was an on-campus 1-on-1 interview with a recruiter and was asked standard interview questions: strengths, weaknesses, what I would bring to the position, etc. For the next step I was flown up to a 2-day recruiting event in Indianapolis with about 12 other candidates. We all went out to dinner with candidates and employees and talked with them. Formal interviews were held the next day. There were two rooms, each with a panel of 2-3 interviewers. This interview was mostly a personality profile, they would ask you to talk about your life and then ask questions about it, to learn more about you and your personality and see if you were a good fit for the team. An intelligence test was taken and we went out to dinner again that night with candidates and employees.

Belden came to my University and we did an on campus interview. Later I was invited to Indianapolis for an on-site interview. There were 2 interviews (each with a panel of 3 people). One was related to high school and the other was the standard behavioral questions.
