Interviewed Apr 2010 in Roseville, MN (took a day)
Arrived at the store, and everything was very professional. Waited on the side after checking in with the security personnel at the entrance. Then I was taken to the back of the store where the interviews were being held. They were assessing a number of candidates for various locations. The panel interview consisted of the District HR manager and the store manager asking questions in the TMAAT format, as well as "Tell me about yourself." type questions. Other questions pertained to how you would motivate people. They were a nice group and I'll expect to hear from them after a week.

Received and Declined Offer

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Charleston, SC (took 3+ weeks)
I applied online, and waited forever. This was not surprising since most companies were laying off at the same time I was trying to get hired. I finally got called in for a interview, and met in Charlotte with two panels of 6 General Managers and District Managers. They were cordial but gave me the feeling they were great at talking you behind your back. We talked about retail management principals. I had them laughing and from talking to others in the office that day for a interview including several current employees that was the way to WOO them.

Reason for Declining
They extended me a offer, but I felt they were lowballing me. Considering they are the top electronics company in the US. I said thanks but no thanks. They don't counter offer, just a FYI. All they do is go to the next applicant.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test, a Personality Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took 2 weeks)
They asked me questions about my job history, personality, work style and other factors relevant to the job. For instance, "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" The candidate will usually be given a chance to ask any questions at the end of the interview. These questions are strongly encouraged since they allow the interviewee to acquire more information about the job and the company, but they can also demonstrate the candidate's strong interest in them.
Candidates for lower paid and lower skilled positions tend to have much simpler job interviews than do candidates for more prestigious positions. For instance, a lawyer's job interview will be much more demanding than that of a retail cashier. Most job interviews are formal; the larger the firm, the more formal and structured the interview will tend to be. Candidates generally dress slightly better than they would for work, with a suit (called an interview suit) being appropriate for a white-collar job interview.
Additionally, some professions have specific types of job interviews; for performing artists, this is an audition in which the emphasis is placed on the performance ability of the candidate.
In many companies, Assessment Days are increasingly being used, particularly for graduate positions, which may include analysis tasks, group activities, presentation exercises, and Psychometric testing.

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took a day)
The interview was all of a 1/2 an hour. It was w/ 2 men & basically it consisted more of scenario types of questions...it's great if you have management experience, but not so much if you haven't b/c they only want people w/ experience. I was never asked about my other positions or even what I could bring to the table. I've been in retail for 9 years & finance for 6, so I have lots of experience, but apparently not what they were looking for. Sucks b/c I really wanted & know I could've handled the role, especially w/ proper training.
