Interview Details – I got a phone call to ask some simple question like availability for working and flexibility. Then we scheduled an interview with one of the store managers. The call lasted about 5-10 minutes. I arrived at the interview 30 minutes early, so I walked around the store until it was time for the interview. I spent over an hour walking around the stores talking to employees, some who I had known. The interviewer was late by more than 40 minutes. When we started interviewing, he seemed distant and uninterested in what I had to say. It seemed as though they had already found a person for the job and had to get the interview over with. Admittingly I had very few experience in retail but his blanent lack of concern was unnecessary.

Interview Details – I first had a phone interview and was asked to come in for an interview. Went to that one. She asked basic customer service questions. She emphasized a lot on how best buy is all about customer service and getting the customers to come back. At the end of the interview, she offered me the position and said I will be meeting with the GM to confirm everything. I met with the GM and he asked me questions about if I saw a friend stealing what would I do? The answer they want is that you would rat them out. GM offered me the position and told me to do a drug test and I will get a call when the results came in.

Interview Details –
Started the hiring process by taking the Personality Test online. Figured out the trick to and finally got a call from Best Buy. The lady was nice and super excited to have called me. Asked availability questions and one including "What would you do if you caught a co-worker stealing from the company?", "What do you think is the best action a company should take towards theft by employees?" and "What I do in my free time?" she ended the call by giving me an appointment the following Monday.
Got to Best Buy and told an associate about my appointment. I was directed to the employee break room. There were others scheduled before and after my interview. Waited here until I was called for by the GM. I was taken to the conference room and found stacks of paper on the table. Thought the papers were there to make the room look like it was a busy place. Handing in my resume, even though I didn't need to, impressed him a lot.

I never got a call back from her so I decided to call he back 3 days later. I spoke with her and she was very tude and said she wasn't doing phone interviews at them moment and would call me back that afternoon. Never got a call. Again, 3 days past and I called her back. She said she would be calling later. She actually did call that day....about a week after the intiial call. Did a short phone interview asking me why I wante to work for Best Buy and why I would be a good employee. She liked my interview and asked me to schedule an interview with the HR manager...for the SAME day. Went it, everyone seemed very nice. I went to the back offices and ended up waiting about 20 minuted for the manager. Oh, and I should add the associate at the front station pointed him out when I walked in. And he wasn't busy. Did the typical interview, not too bad. He ended the interview saying typically will call you back within the week. If nothing, we don't want you. Then added, but if you tink you should be gettin g a call, call us. I still don't know what that meant. I never got a call. I should add that I am a former Circuit City employee of 4 years.
