Interview Details – Come prepared with document of past success, 30/60/90 day plan after hired, Demonstrate immense product knowledge and passion for technology. Personality and sales aptitude is more important than tech knowledge.
Must also have comprehention of residential electronics installations procedures and scenarios.

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Best Buy in July 2013.

Interview Details – I filled out the application online and the main manager not the GM called me. Thats very ususual they'll call you and schedule an interview. Pick a time and day, They gave me two options and I took the soonest time. You wait in the employee break room for a few minutes and the main manager does the interview and There are several departments in Best Buy. Auto Tech is the people who install the car stereo and Lifestyle department is the people who help you find a video game and Then Theres mobile where they sell you a cell phone, Geek Squad is the Heighest paid entry level Job There $10/11 to $16/17 per hour, Those are PC technicians who fix and repair hardware related issues with your pc electronic you either bought or didnt buy at Best Buy. Whatever you applied for is what they will interview you for unless The Interviewer wants to bring it up what department to work in. I was looking for a smaller less hectic job this wasnt the place to apply I dont reccomed working here. To me Best Buy Mobile Stores at the Mall are the Best Jobs Best Buy offers

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Best Buy in June 2014.

Interview Details – I applied online, basic information and one those retail assessments. Received a call a few days later asking when I could come in for an interview. It was with the hiring manager and he asked a couple questions like, tell me about a time you worked well on a team and what experience I had as a leader. Other than that just basic get to know you type conversation. I thought it went well, and the next day I got a call to come in for an interview with the general manager. I think if you make it this far you are pretty much already in, just make a good impression on the gm and he/she will offer you a position at the end of the second interview. We discussed previous work experience, what my opinions were on employee/customer theft, and what qualities I would like to see in a manager. He also asked about pay and I was offered 10.50, much more than I was expecting.

Interview Question – Tell me what you look for in a manager and what you didn't like about your last place of employment.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – He asked me what I was paid at my last job, and what I expected to make at Best Buy. I was only making 8.00/hr before so I requested 8.50. He offered 10.50, explaining that the company likes to start high in hopes of keeping more employees for long term.

Interview Details – I originally applied online for a customer service position in June 2013, but was contacted by Best Buy HR by phone late August saying they can set up a face-to-face interview with a mobile manager if I was in interested in applying to become a mobile sales consultant. So I applied for the position then set up an interview a week later. The interview with the mobile manager was fairly easy (Although difficult for me considering this was my first one on one interview I've ever had for a job). I was simply asked basic behavioral questions. I then left, and got a call back in about a day asking for another interview. I came into the store for another interview, this time with the general manager, then was asked more behavioral and situational questions. I was then offered a job on the spot and was asked to complete my drug check and I would be prepared to begin working.

Interview Details – The hiring process includes a VERY long testing session done online and 2 interviews. I was hired for seasonal work so it was somewhat rushed. Everyone I spoke with was positive and happy.

Interview Question – A few questions were situational sales questions and you really didn't need to know HOW to answer them, you just needed to know how NOT to answer them.   Answer Question
