Best Buy Cashier Interview

Posted Dec 7, 2011 1 of 1 people found this helpful

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Oct 2010 – Reviewed Dec 7, 2011

Interview Details – I applied online for a seasonal position, and got the call the next day. I was asked a few questions on the phone about my availabilty, which department I wanted to work in, and other general questions like that. I came in for my interview about two days later, and had an interview with one of the managers. He asked general interview questions such as "What do you like and dislike about working in a team?", "If I asked one of your previous teachers or coaches about what you could improve on, what would they say?", and he also said that it's usually hard for them to justify hiring someone with no experience, such as myself, so he wanted to know why he should hire me. After the first interview I was asked back for a second interview that same day with the GM. Second interview asked a few of the same questions as the first. Also asked what department I was interested in working it. Even though I applied for a cashier position they hired me as a sales associate. The GM made the job offer that day. I've been working at Best Buy for a little over a month now and I love it. It's stressful at times but my coworkers and the managment make it fun at the same time. So far I have no complaints.

Interview Question – What is one thing you like and one thing you dislike about working as a part of a team?   Answer Question

Other Details - I applied online and the process took 3 days.
