-The first interview went over the phone. When speaking over the phone, always sound like you are excited for that phone call. Usually the first calls lead up to an in-person interview.
-The second interview went really great. When it comes to a face-to-face interview, dress well, take care of all hygiene problem, and before facing the interview, look up interview questions. Specifically Best Buy interview questions, and practice the answers. That really helped me get to the third interview. Don't forget to have any other questions about work.
-If you have reached this step, the third interview, you can consider yourself successful. This is extremely important because you are being interviewed by a manager who is wants to hire you. Practice and practice more interview questions, and have extra questions when he asks if you have any questions. Tell him/her that you are really excited for this job.

Applied on Sunday. Got a call on a Tuesday, just basic questions like: what times are you available?, what department would you be comfortable working in? easy enough. The lady I talked to scheduled me for an interview the next day. I went to my interview on Wednesday, interviewed with a department manager right away, he asked me if
I could stick around for another interview. Second interview was with the GM. I pretty much just listened to him talk for 30 minutes, he asked what I would do if I caught someone, maybe even a coworker stealing. I told him I would report it, he ate it up. He offered me the job on the spot.

Applying online begins the process. There's an online test that begins weeding out personalities that don't fit into a predefined category. If you pass, you'll receive a follow up phone call (how long depends on how desperate they are for workers). After that there's a short meeting with an Assistant manager (sometimes you can be hired directly from this interview). And finally you'll meet with the store manager. If offered the job you will be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
This process varies depending on what time of the year it is. If its near the fall holidays, expect the process to be very quick.

Initially It's kind of hard to find an employee. There were no yellow shirt workers at their post and the Customer Service line was long. I opted for a empty cashier, I walked in the store 5 minutes before my interview and it took almost another 20 minutes for the manager to get to me.
The woman was very nice and comfortable to talk with. Overall the interview went very well.
Interview Question – What would you do if a customer asked you a question and you didn't know the answer? View Answer
Negotiation Details – None, $9.00 to start.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Dothan, AL Oct 2010 – Reviewed Apr 10, 2012
Interview Details – It was a panel interview with 3 members of leadership, and 5 candidates including myself in the room at the same time. However this practice is no longer being done. Questions asked were your standard situational questions with what happened, and what was the outcome of your actions. Nothing spectacular.

Negotiation Details – No negotiations were available, it was quite simply, take it or leave it.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Lynnwood, WA Oct 2010 – Reviewed Nov 1, 2010
Interview Details – I applied online on a Sunday, had the phone interview Monday evening at which point they informed me that they were not hiring for geek squad, as they had listed online so I accepted to interview for a seasonal sales position. She set me up with an interview with the sales manager, and he asked me quite a few questions from the standard line-by-line interview questionnaire they do with all their employees, and I had read most of them on here so I had answers to almost all of them right away. After completing this interview he asked me to come back in 2 hours for an interview with the general manager. that interview consisted of mostly the same types of questions, and again most of which I already had good answers for, and these dealt with the importance of good customer service, teamwork, and the no stealing policy. He then offered me the job and I accepted after an attempt to bump up the payrate, then sent me off to go take a drug test. so the actual time for in-person interviewing only took 1 day which was nice. I am supposed to start orientation the following Thursday.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details – I have not had consumer electronic sales experience, so this was the one more thing I would have needed to get a higher offer. I do have a bachelor's degree and around 4.5 years of experience working retail, and all he changed from his initial offer was 25 cents more after I had accepted the lower rate which he said he couldn't go any higher on. For me, the more important part of the interview came down to what it takes to stay hired on after Christmas, and hopefully they will have some geek squad openings because he said they get paid a lot more, and he figured I was qualified to be part of that group, its just too bad they didn't have the openings.
