Interviewed Jun 2011 in Novato, CA (took a day)
Received call from recruiter and was scheduled to interview the following week. Interviewed with six individuals. Total of 3 hours spent interviewing. Would have been better to do all interviews in one conference room; however, was moved from room to room throughout the process. Overall, perception of people was positive.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Novato, CA (took 2 days)
I was referred through a former manager who is currently with Biomarin. Phone call came a couple days after my resume was forwarded to the hiring manager. BM flew me out for an in-person interview a few weeks later (had to wait for the holidays to be done). Full-day (8 hour) interview with roughly 12-14 people. Discussion was mostly about Biomarin's current manufacturing and cell culture challenges, not too many pointed questions regarding my background or skills. Interview was well-organized; however communication between HR and the science-side isn't everything it could be.
Learned from my referral that the position scope, position level and hiring manager changed a couple weeks after I interviewed, but I never officially heard that from the hiring manager or HR, which was a little disappointing.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Novato, CA (took 4 weeks)
In general interview was well organized and selection process was fairly prompt. Was disappointed that I was notified with a form letter email and not personally by HR or hiring manager.
