Interviewed Feb 2009 (took a day)
There was numerous questions about the current economic evnviornment. One question was asked about productivity of the firm. The culture of blackrock is rather laid back. Reason for not getting the job was most likely I did not have enough experience in the finance industry.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
The phone interview was directly with management, very thorough CV questions. SuperDay was rough, first a panel (nice team) asking mostly CV and fit questions, then a 1:1 (aggressive), up to now not sure if it was a meant to be a stress interview or the guy was just annoyed by me being there. That being said, know a lot of detail about the company. Felt like interview skills were being tested more than actual technical skills. Questions on conflict and lying.

Interviewed Oct 2008 (took a day)
This was my first interview since I entered MBA program. No experience, so failed. Here are some lessons:
1. Familiar with your resume. They will ask many detailed questions about it.
2. Some general questions like "Describe a time that you suffered most."
3. About market information. like "Describe a piece of news that you read. How you think abou it?"
4. Know the company well. Do your homework.
There are 2 panels altogether. The first one is harsh (attitude). The second one is nice.

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took a day)
I got the interview from on-campus recruiting. They ask most behavior questions for the first round. The first question I remembered is "What's the CEO's name?" and other fairly common questions like why do you like finance, why choose this school etc..
People are general friendly and helpful, but I heard from friends who did get the job that it's very long hour and stressful, probably not great for ladies.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Pretty much straight forward finance interview. A lot of behavioral and fit questions considering it was a firmwide analyst hire. Got the interview through a resume drop to the college career center. one-to-one interviews. Though I thought the interview was very conversational, the interviewer wasn't very interested in what I have to say about my resume, which kind of set me off a bit. Other than that, I have heard that the firm is very horizontal in structure and diverse in academic sense.
