Interviewed Jun 2010 in Irvine, CA (took 2+ weeks)
Moved very quickly, but it seems to vary based on the position/team. Initial contact was from a Recruiter, who very quickly set up a phone interview with what was ultimately the hiring manager. She recommended I keep my schedule open, and within a few days, I received an invitation to interview with the rest of the team. The interview scheduling process was a bit sterile (form emails, etc), but onsite, the strong culture and casual atmosphere was really obvious. The email instructed me not to dress up, so I wore jeans and a decent shirt.
My position is not technical, so the interview consisted mostly of detailing my previous work experience, and how I thought it would relate to job they were trying to fill. Not difficult, but I was certainly challenged to come up with creative ideas and innovative ways to go about the same old things. Moreso than any other interview I'd been on. That was a positive sign to me. Even in corporate, they still wanted creative individuals.
After several panel interviews (I believe I met with 8 people total in the span of 3 hours), I got a really great tour of the campus, by a Staffing Coordinator, who answered all my questions about daily life on campus, culture, etc. Received an offer within 2 business days.
