Interviewed Apr 2011 in Huntington Beach, CA (took 4 days)
Had a behavioral based phone interview consisting of 5 questions. They were pretty tough based on my previous behavioral based interviews. Prepare yourself with practice questions online.
I got accepted to the second round of interviews and the first half of the day in HB I toured the facility then in the afternoon I had a 1 on 1 with 3 different managers/director. The 1 on 1's were very informal and they just wanted to get to know me better.
Overall, it was a great experience.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Long Beach, CA (took a day)
The hiring process is very structured, with a standard set of questions asked based on the level of the position you are applying for. I applied to an entry level position, and was asked basic questions like, "Why Boeing?" Boeing is an engineering company, so it would be wise to understand the basics of manufacturing if you are applying to a position that is higher than entry level. Some big buzz words right now are Lean, Earned Value Management, Common Systems, and Project Management Best Practices. If you have any experience with any of these, you may want to list them on your resume as Boeing does utilize a keyword search when downselecting for interviews.

Negotiation Details
I tried, but was not given the option to negotiate my incoming salary. HR has a very strict policy of salary limits based on education and experience. They tie these elements to site-wide pay profiles of all employees to ensure that there isn't a major pay gap between employees with similar skills and experience. If you are an experienced hire however, I would suggest applying to multiple aerospace companies to leverage the fact that you have "other offers" to consider. Boeing has been known to counter against its major competitors.

I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
