    Not much of an interview, I had documented experience at another store so they knew they wouldn't have to train me. All it was is a question as to my availability and a background check. I had to fill out an online application and then do one interview. Also give you one of those personality tests

    This is a minimum wage retail level job, so there isn't any negotiation. If you don't like their low pay they don't care they will find another warm body to work in your place

    I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Books-A-Million in March 2008.

    received call back from General Manager - conducted mini interview over the phone
    met with GM in the store a few days after the phone interview
    they set 2nd appointment for me to return and interview with the District Manager-she offered me the job on the spot after the 2nd interview concluded - each in person interview lasted approximately 30 minutes-it took approx 1 hour on the computer and phone, in addition to the face to face time
